We would absolutely not splash this money on a 29 yr old. Totally against our current philosophy. Hasn't played in PL, no sell on value and would be practically the oldest outfield player in the squad. Laughable that a paper would print this.

Never fails to amaze me how mainstream media can peddle any old shit and not be sued; if this level of bs was spread about individuals or companies in the political sphere then they'd be dragged thru the courts

We wouldn't pay £2.9m for Martinez, let alone £29m. If he was 5+ years younger, this might not be completely unbelievable.

There's only 3 players I would want from Atleti: Koko, Griezmann and Carrasco (yes I know Juanfran, Jimenez, Saul Niguez are top notch players as well). None of them are within Spurs budget.
I wish Spurs had gone all out for Griezmann back in 2014 (which I stated back then). But Poch was new and had to assess his squad etc. Carrasco seem to statr to "produce" as well this season. Oh well.

Sold to Guangzhou Evergrade for €42m.

They must have a chairman who's got better skills and Levy in selling players :D
How on earth could they pay such a price fo Martinez o_O I wouldn't have paird more than 1/4 of that price.
