If it is a Loan with an option - Game time for him, he can then turn them down and join us for free in the summer. City get fuck all.Almost win win.

What I don't understand is that they always said he wanted to go back to London. Dortmund is farther away than Manchester

should have forced this into the walker deal
A few people have asked this but there was no indication that he wanted to leave City when they bought Walker, the reason given for him finally deciding he wanted out was that he was left out of the US tour which Walker went on so there is no way we could have linked the two.

Apparently we tried to include him in the deal but City straight out refused.

Probably had no choice. City didn't want to let him go to another PL club and has burnt all bridges at City.

Why is everyone blaming City? We had our chance to force City to add him in the Walker deal, but when City didn't go for this we caved in. We could have stood our ground and sold Walker elsewhere/kept him and if Walker whined we could just tell him just how much City valued him.

It seemed Dortmund have managed to agree a deal with City, surely we could have to if we wanted it enough and he wanted to come here. After reading how Dembeles parent Club got 25% of the fee from Barcelona it's reasonable to assume City wanted a big sell on clause in their deal and Dortmund didn't mind. Knowing Levy this could easily be a deal breaker.

It seems every time a deal goes tits up it's always the selling Clubs fault, despite Levy having a history of moving goalposts after deals are more or less done.

Maybe we simply tried to force City to sell him to us by lowballing them knowing Sancho fancied us and City got tired? Surely that should at least be a consideration.

Still no official confirmation about his destination though. Until it is he could still end up here, allthough it look bad!

Pochettino wanted Walker gone. It's been said too many times already.

ITK also said the problem was City, not us

I think that giving he's moving abroad is a clear confirmation that it was City, or else he would be signing for any other PL club. Arsenal to begin with
