This strikes me as him deciding to go somewhere else and we're trying to save face. I can't shake this feeling of him ending up at Arsenal. Wouldn't be surprised if we've been strung along all through this.
If so I think this story would be running through more than just Dan. It would be going through all our normal beat writers like Ben and Ally, both of whom have been quiet on it and will normally just retweet each other if one breaks a story. This strikes me as him deciding to go somewhere else and we're trying to save face. What are you on about? My guess is City have, as leverage, threatened to report us for tapping Sancho. Which could theoretically lead to a transfer ban.
So we, for our own leverage, have leaked that we don't have to take him.
The fee is supposedly not the issue.Or are we are not pursuing this month as we have to wait for a tribunal to resolve the matter. As City refuse to agree a fee.
Doesn't make much sense does it? Fee is fine, player wants to come here but we've pulled out. A tad suspiciousThe fee is supposedly not the issue.
TBH I've had my suspicions all along that we may be used by his agent to get more money from arsenalDoesn't make much sense does it? Fee is fine, player wants to come here but we've pulled out. A tad suspicious

He can sign a pro contract with anyone but unless city agree a fee to release him he can only train with new club until the scholarship is finished. The tribunal will decide the fee thenhe has one year left on his apprenticeship. Can you even buy a player that young? I was under the impression City would have to release him for him to play/sign for us?

Is that really likely? Is he (or I suppose his agent) already that much of a prick at 17? I have a bit more faith in people but you might be right
