If we persist with 4-4-2 then I honestly wonder if Jake does not offer more than some of our more highly fancied midfielders. Perhaps we could bring him back and offer Hull young Bentaleb on loan in exchange...

Yes he has some very good attributes for a 4-4-2 (or any formation for that matter)
He is quick and mobile/agile. He can spot/exectue a pass quickly (and not just sideways or backwards) and is obviously adding a box to box element to his game.

Wouldn't be upset if we bought him back into the fold. Although it may mean writing off a fair amount of money as with all our CM's we would not be able to keep them all happy. and invariably a big name will fall by the wayside...

yeah I'm starting to think that we might stick with him against Paulinho if we keep on playing 4-4-2 (or 4-4-1). pace is vital for that system and I'm sure he's more pacey than Paulinho or Dembele. add some tackling and passing skills and that's it!

Saw a report saying Levy want 10 mil to make this permanent. Slightly ambitious there dear leader???
Says 10, but I think 7-8 would do it. He's been pretty good/consistent for them, still quite young. I'd say that's about the going rate. It's not like he's been sat on our bench and we're asking for that sort of money.

and being home grown will add a bit to his price as well.

I think he would be a good squad player, but dont think we need more cm squad players, so if we can get £8m or so then i think it would be good business.

Scored a nice goal at the weekend, surprised no one mentioned it. Huddlestone scored too, but it was a huge deflection

Never got round to seeing it. Happy for both of them. He has shown that he is more than capable at this level, and I think that he has the potential to be in future World Cup squads and be a very good squad player.

Livs has carved Arsenal open 3 times already, yet people develop a cold sweat at the thought of him playing for us. He's doing really well and I for one wouldnt mind having him at ours next season. Henderson has no more ability than him. The right coahc and right team and hed do wonders for us

Having a very good game against the goons, already played several through balls that none of our current crop would be capable of. Also just hit the post with a shot from outside the box

Like all youngsters he needed extended playing time with a manager who believes in him in order to see whether he is up to it or not. Looks like he has stepped up.

I'm not really sure where people get off slagging off our youth products. Kane, Bentaleb and Livermore are some great talents compared to what we used to bring through!
