Thought Jake and Tom did very well coming in against Chelsea and changed the game for Hull. Both will be regulars on XI, however they ought to add some cover for them as drop in quality seems rather big with Meyler and such. Quick look at not606 Hull section and they're very happy with performances by both.

They both certainly looked better than the players they replaced (Brady looked a lot better when moved out to the left wing) but while Jake put in a lot of effort there were some very poor passes which, for a player who should be aiming to be solid if unspectacular, is not good enough. Maybe more game time will sharpen his game up

He's the forgotten man here it seems...he's been in the starting line up the last few games, anyone watched? How did he do?

From the highlights I've seen he looks to do being pretty well, showing drive from midfield and getting forward. Certainly isn't struggling.

Never thought he would struggle.

He has a good technique (something we seem to take for granted now) and will only get better from his loan spell.
Maybe ultimately he won't prove good enough for us, but i am sure he will carve out a decent premiership career.

It's a bit of a shame, but most people seem to have given up on him having a career with us and can't be bothered following his loan progress for that reason.

Prove them wrong Jake!

Saw this in a review of the Hull v Wet Spam game when browsing Newsnow. It's from the Hull Daily Mail:
Jake Livermore: Simply brilliant

When Hull City signed Tom Huddlestone in August, the loan deal for his Spurs teammate Jake Livermore was mentioned almost as a postscript. But Livermore has been every bit as impressive as his highly-rated teammate so far this season and he was my man of the match.

Livermore sometimes doesn’t get the praise his play deserves and a lot of what he does goes unnoticed. Against a physical West Ham side, he really needed to stand up and be counted – and that is exactly what he did. His work rate is phenomenal, surely the City player who covers the most ground (I'm sure the stats boffins will prove or disprove that over the next few days!).

On more than one occasion against the Hammers, the ball was crying out to be played through to Livermore, only for his clever runs to be ignored. A goal would have been the icing on the cake after a fully committed and whole-hearted display in the centre of the park.
Clever forward runs apparently. Nice to see that his game seems to be developing.

I'd disagree with this, purely because I have commented before, particularly in the 11/12 season where he had a fair amount of game time, about his ability to get forward. For us there were quite a few times I remember picking out occasions during matches where he made a really good run from midfield beyond the likes of VDV/Ade, but didn't get the pass.

The problem is that when he has played in the first team, he has often been used as the midfield anchor. Whenever I saw him for the youth teams he always seemed a box-to-box type who covered the ground. A different role has probably meant less chance to get forward and play his natural game.

Played well again at the weekend

http://www.hulldailymail.co.uk/Hull...uddlestone-s/story-20029567-detail/story.html

Always liked him not sure what to think. I guess with Veljkovic coming through and with Sandro and Capoue, prob will see him go the way of Caulker and get sold. Although wont be getting the money we hoped if the rumours in his contract are anything to go by...gutting
What are the rumours about his contract?

Not sure if he will ever be good enough for us but he will always be a bit of a legend in my eyes for his comment after scoring against Barcelona in a freindly, when asked by a reporter, "What is it like to score against the best team in the world?", Livermore replied "Score against the best team in the world? I play for them."

Ye I remember him saying that. As well as the fact I think he is a very decent/underrated player that quote made me like him even more.

And apparently the clause is that if Hull don't go down they can make the move permanent for 3m. He probably isnt worth more than Caulker but def worth more than Hudd so anything between 5-8 mil is fair.

3m would be a bargin for Hull. If he does go there, I just hope he doesn't end up as another Jamie O'hara.

The Thudd - Jake combo against Liverpool impressed me a lot, actually. I think Jake can become a good player, as long as he gets regular playing time in the Premiership.
