From reports he moved around a bit last night, where would he play at Spurs ?

I would play him in central midfield and I wouldn't judge him on one performance.

If he comes in this January and follows the same schedule as Dele did, I feel there's a lot more coming from him and he could compete with a first team place at the start of next season.

I've given you an agree rating based on your thinking that he should not be judged solely on one game.

As for his position, I'll certainly state that most of his best work was from deep last night, but that said, Norwich were pushed back in their own half for vast periods last night.

With better players around him and in a Spurs team, maybe he could enjoy the luxury of doing his thing in an attacking third against the bus parkers.

Seen him described as a free roaming 10.

Could be quite a player if he can play these little through balls in final third and score some goals as a 10, but when we are defending as a team, have the ability to quickly produce a counter attack when regaining possession with a quick decisive pass.

That's a good joke, fella, because typically footballers are sold for much more than 50p!

We'd have to add the other £25mill from our coffers.

A bit harsh of Sissoko, I'm sure we'd be able to get a lot more,

Joking aside, whatever we got from Sissoko I would add to making a bid for Maddison.

If we were to somehow get £30 mill for Sissoko, I would then make a bid of £25-27 million bid

It will feel like peanuts in the future,

I blame it on the super-inflated fees for some stupid over-the-counter players.
This. It's becoming an absolute joke now. I completely understand Norwich's viewpoint, they see others go for similar fees and believe they should acquire similar or more. They are only looking after themselves. The fees on players unproven or with limited experience seems to know no limits. In ten years well be paying 50m for a kid with 6 games under their belt just because he has high potential.

Kinda irritated with myself with how disappointed I am. I really like the look of this player.

25 Million with a sell on ... Crap on a cracker.

The transfer market and all that goes with it has become pretty disgusting in the grander scheme of things.

So what are we going to do then... stop competing altogether? Not an option methinks

We can't control the environment - it controls us. More transfer funds HAVE to be made available, stadium or no. It's the only way...

Terrible. We've stopped trying even for these

On just a footballing level (support) etc I get it, but do you think James Madison is worth £25 Mill. with a sell on included? Does that account for wages and agents fees etc.? (genuine question)

I took the 25 mill figure from what Hercules posted when he then compared that sort of money to other examples of players we could look at. No wonder so many teams buy abroad.
