We do as good of job as any other job of scouting the lower leagues in this country. I do think we missed a trick by not being in for either of David Brooks or James Maddison.

But to say it's something we need improve is a tad silly. I'd love to buy one hot prospect from the football league a tw, but that wouldnt be realistic or efficient for our club , in terms of player integration which is something we are already massively struggling at.

Nothing can compare to Dele Alli.

5M wow!!

I know he didn’t fulfill his potential but ultimately, Aaron Lennon brought so much joy and he was only £800k. He was integral to us going from mid table to constant European football,

Also, Bale, albeit a well known entity, was only £7m total (£5m on top), and he was sensational.

Can you confirm or deny reports that you are indeed internationally renowned comedian and comic writer Sacha Baron Cohen? :)

okay, significant impact: major positive first team contribution to our improvement. Hence why I didn’t list people like Sean Davis or Kyle Naughton.

If you think any of those would make a major positive impact on our first team, you severely underrate our squad.

You’re forgetting that to make an impact, a player has to play. Apart from Andrew Robertson, who was certainly not an uncovered cheap gem with two years of experience in this league already for Hull, none would ever play enough to make an impact.

I think Will Hughes is a pretty classy player, hampered a bit by injuries, but if we wanted to increase the HG quota then I think he’d be a good choice.

I agree with what you’re saying but it’s also worth looking at each player on a case by case basis. Eg. Lookman at Everton. Had he moved to a club where he was nurtured better he could become more of an Aaron Lennon than a Wayne Routledge (although I’m not sure those two players are the best example!).

I don’t think it’s possible or fair to compare Dele to the other players on that list. He’s truely exceptional and a one off. Nobody will find a player as good as him in the lower leagues for years and years.

Gerrard and Scholes cost nothing, Wilshere is worthless ?
