He was in Year 11 when he posted that crap. Most teenage boys would do similar things. That doesn’t worry me so much but I’ve read that he’s acted like a twat to members of the public on a boozy night out prior to him moving to Leicester so he’s taking his time growing up.

Either that or he’s an almost perfectly formed ballsack

I don't think it is.

It takes literally seconds to do.

When did we become keen on him, after Poch knocked him back from Coventry to Norwich? And as far as I know nothing has changed.

The tweets aren't fake, I remember retweeting them when they were first found. But he was about 16 at the time so who cares? If employers ever found the shit I tweeted at 16 I'd be locked up

He is a decent player but quite overrated - for the money it would take to get him we can do much better.

Maaaaan, do we have to go through this every single time with Maddison.

As far as I am aware the tweets are genuine but he was 15 years old at the time. I dread to think what kinda BS I'd have come out with when I was 15 years old and had social media available.

He was clearly a gooner as a kid but most footballers move past that as they get older and I would be very surprised if he still holds those exact feelings. He isn't the first player to write a regretful tweet and he won't be the last. If we were all held to account for things we've said in the past then we'd all be in trouble I expect.

Whether we believe Poch rates him or not, can we just move on from these tweets, they're irrelevant now.

If he's grown up hating Spurs, we are not the right club for him.

I don't disagree as such but equally people do change. Let's not forget, he was a child when he made those tweets, he's now a 22 year old man.

My expectation is that he doesn't hate Spurs now and his agent would tell him that if Spurs were the best move for him at this point in his career then he would be foolish to turn it down just because he grew up as a gooner. This is his job after all.

If Pochettino doesn’t rate the player who created the most chances out of the whole league this season, in his debut season in the league, then I think he should leave the player purchases to other people.

You can’t not rate him. He may be a prick, but he’s a very good player.

Maybe the squad ethic that Poch is building sees no arseholes required.

Sure it's been said before, that Poch places alot of emphasis on the actual individual as a person regardless of ability.

Harmony and professionalism within the squad is key.

I’m not arguing that. What I’m arguing is that it’s highly unlikely Poch doesn’t rate him. Chances are he does indeed rate him, but he’s put off by his attitude. If he indeed doesn’t rate him, that’s worrying going forward.
