Not sure, looks like we've been making a bit of headway here. Don't underestimate who his reps are and how close they are to spurs. I'm not sold on him tbh, but I'd say we are definitely in the running.
London may play a huge part in this. Of course he's open to joining both clubs but as I said in his thread the other day, from what I heard, we were if anything slightly ahead in the running. It will change all the time and I've not heard anything the past few days on him but I think £40m + some add ons could potentially get the deal done. Newcastle are of course a hugely attractive proposition with CL and the fact they're going to spend and likely improve, but as Trix said, we can't underestimate the power of CAA Base within these negotiations.
