Get fit soon Jan.

We will definitely miss him despite strong back ups in CD. We do seem to be having a bad season for injuries. Let's hope a lot of our key players come back fit and fresh for the second half of the season for our push to the title.

This season was always going to be tough with (eventually) getting used to the new stadium etc and not signing any new players, but these injuries are quickly turning it all into a right proper shitter.

Reality is that when players get over tired they are more likely to get injured. Penalties of not having a deep enough squad.

Major penalty ironically caused by 'successful' players, their substantial world cup involvement cutting into recuperation and preparation. No transfers doesnt help but that I think was the killer. And badly thought out by Fifa and the PL. (I can also see Poch's request for a bigger subs bench being relevant in this regard).

The injuries were always going to happen. Competitive summer fixtures close together, lack of holiday and a proper preseason and then all quickly rushed back into the starting XI for game 1.

The club’s inability to sign anyone through the summer has now compounded the situation.

Genuine question here. The consensus was that we needed to buy in midfield and up front, which I happen to agree with. With that in mind, how has the lack of buying players in those positions compounded the situation where our cb is injured?
