I fucking hate stats .

I'm not saying he is or isn't slow but a top speed is meaningless.

As an example - if you want a world record top speed in a car you need to take the AVERAGE speed of the vehicle over 2 x 1 mile runs
Otherwise manufacturers could just turn the wick right up, go 300mph and destroy the engine.

Is hazard a guess Vinny can get up to a respectable speed for a short period of time. I'd bet he can't sustain it as long as a number of other players that are slightly slower but over a greater distance.

1. He doesn't need to sustain pace for as much length of time as say the likes of Walker and Rose so you cannot generalise here.

2. Monitoring the speed of a vehicle over say a quarter mile or half mile tells you a lot of the performance of a car. Football players do not run the full length of the pitch each time they have ball so why would you need to look at it only when they cover a specific amount of grass?

3. A stat like this tells us a lot about his ability to read the game and react to a key pass. I'm not saying he is a speed demon but to completely write off a stat by comparing him to a car is ridiculous.

I stand by my example.
If he can't sustain that speed longer than defenders then that speed is irrelevant. What use is it if he can get there but by the time he has , he's been caught up and over taken?

if he is fastest to the ball in the penalty area and manages to use that speed to buy himself some space then it is all important.... so if the creators are able to work on providing the necessary passes, which they should over time as they become more accustomed to his runs....

Janssen isn't slow and not particularly lighting quick....I'd say he's just as quick as Aguero.
