Was just checking the upcoming fixtures to see when I might get over for a game .. Surprised to see that we've got three games in five days at the beginning of January (Jan 2nd, 4th, and 6th). Seems utterly ridiculous in terms of rest and preparation. Two in close succession at some point over Christmas seems to be the norm, but i don't remember three games like this so close together before? Ok, the third one is the FA cup and we'll obviously play a weaker team against Wimbledon, but what if we'd been drawn against Arsenal or one of the other big teams? Can't understand why the game on the 4th couldn't have been played midweek the following week, which would avoid this situation completely. Anyone know a good reason why that couldn't happen?

You would have to be ancient to remember this little run... I can because I was at all the matches ... 4 games - 6 days

Every other PL club has same playing 3 in 5 days but a week earlier. It Actually works in our favour as we get a week off. And one of our 3 in 5 days is a relatively easy FA cup game.

Yeah, Poch mentioned wanting to work on some new team concepts and obviously get players back to health in January.

From Dec to January we have

Sat 16th - ManC - Lost
Sat 23rd - Burnley
Tue 26th - So'ton
Jan 2nd - Swansea
Jan 4th - West Ham
Jan 7th - AFC Wimbledon
Jan 13th - Everton
Jan 21st - So'ton
Jan 31st - ManU

Poch will have roughly 38 days (in between fixtures) to train players and work on those concepts. I have nothing but faith that we can go on a run starting with Burnley and win all of those fixtures.
