Meh - the teams that Defoe plays in have to be so shaped in a way that helps him flourish, so that the team always becomes worse overall.

Defoe did a good job for us for a long time, and is still banging them in in his mid 30s, so if he's a Mexican Defoe let's get him signed up.

He was a useful player around the time we were a pretty average team, but there's a reason he's never played for a side that's been near the top of the table, because he was never able to add more to his game than poaching and shifting and shooting around the edge of the box.
