We should of bypassed JR and all that Southampton politics and got Danny Welbeck, who imo is a better all round player at 16M its a good fee.

Welbeck chose Arsenal over us. Plus he wanted a permanent move when we were only offering a loan.

The most important point is though, that Poch wants Rodriguez, and wasn't bothered about missing out on Welbeck.

Fair enough....but I must confess to being pissed off we never thought about a permanent move.

Sadly, that's probably true. Hopefully the kid has more sense and would actually like to play football for the rest of his career. We'll see.

And/or that City aren't really interested in signing him.
