Would love Morgan although i reckon he will be overpriced, but Jay i would rather stay clear even if he would be (hopefully) only brought in as a back up to Kane. He has been out of action for the whole season, regardless of whether or not he is now injury prone, he may well never again be the player he was. Far to risky even if he is available for a low fee. We really need to be focused on the starting 11 before we start looking for more squad players.

I'd imagine Rodriguez would be competing with Chadli for the LWF spot, while also being our 3rd CF (with someone like Ings being our 2nd CF)

Worried Rodriguez might block Pritchard's path into the first XI, which would be most unfortunate.

We have a lot of potential midfielders signed or on our books,Deli Ali, Pritchard,Carroll so an out and out centre forward like Ings or Austin, hungry young and English.

Pritchard will be fine, especially since his most recent position has been No 10 anyway. We need a left winger badly, even if I personally don't prefer Rodriguez for the slot.

Wanna bet? Pochettino will, if at all, bring in Pritchard at LWF. That's not to say it's his best position - just what's going to happen :p

He might bring him in through there, but a) I don't think it's where he'll end up even as the season progresses and b) that's nonetheless not a reason to forego an immensely needed winger acquisition. We cannot go another window without addressing our wing situation.

But nonetheless, I'd take that bet. Our No 10 position has been a bit shit this season, so I wouldn't be surprised after Pritch's displays there for Brentford also in a 4-2-3-1 if Poch gave him a runout there quick n early (Europa at worst).

Have to agree that he might get playing time centrally in EL and in other early cup games (though still find LWF more likely), but I'd be shocked if the same were true for prem games.

Who would keep him out though? Eriksen with his inconsistent performances at this position? Poch has even experimented with quite a few other options there and moved Eriksen wide because of how frustrating he is there. I see no reason why he wouldn't try a promising youth player there who has performed wonderfully there in the Championship.

But anyway, for this thread, we've got to bring in winger reinforcements. Our winger situation has been sad as hell since Bale left and we replaced him with nothing but pseudowingers (and I don't mean inverted wingers, they're just not true wingers), and the lack of depth and balance has harmed us considerably the last two seasons.

Like it or not, Eriksen is an automatic pick for the manager. Hopefully, Pritchard will be allowed to rotate with him and make the position his own, but can't see it happening anytime soon. LWF on the other hand is ripe for the picking.

Oh I like Eriksen very much, and I've no doubt Poch does too as evidenced by his selection of him regardless of who's in the side. But I think he also recognizes Eriksen struggles there at times and struggles to establish a rhythm as evidenced by his moving of Eriksen around the other AM positions. Where I take issue here is that I don't know why Poch persists with just making personnel changes and zero tactical/formational changes that might suit his players better, but nonetheless he's moved Eriksen around considerably amidst the instability. As such, I wouldn't be surprised at all to see Poch try Pritchard out there.

Pritchard is more a #10. A perfect understudy for Eriksen.

And Alli seems to be either a #8 or a #10 - a bit like Holtby people aren't really sure which of those position he'll end up in long term.

And I'm pretty confident Carroll will be off to Swansea on a permanent. Bentaleb, Mason and now Winks, Onomah and Alli have all come through since he was the bright new thing.

Rodriguez is a proper left wing forward, with directness, pace and goals. 3 things we don't have much of in our AM options. If anything he will replace Lennon - balancing up our current 3RWF-1LWF imbalance.
