This is such a crucial time for Tottenham's future and the direction they want to go in after taking such huge strides over the past couple of seasons.

A good, balanced article in my opinion. I always liked Jermaine, could never understand the hate he got at times. I like him as a pundit as well. Always talks about us fondly, and seems to steer away from tabloid or sensationalist style punditry.

He's 100% correct. From all accounts, Levy distinctly has a altruistic side as well as a hard edge business mentality. His behaviour is always gentlemanly. His biggest challenge is to assuade the players that with greater efforts and greater results, a better pay day is assured, and that there is no better team for the players to show their talents than at our club.

As a pundit, he always has a good word for Spurs. As a player, he did his best, and that is all anyone could ask for.

I will always have a soft spot for him for those goals against Arsenal in the semi.

as mentioned on another thread, he is becoming a top pundit and nicely building his post-playing brand. Liked this article a lot. Could you imagine the player JJ would have been if Poch was his coach....with his skill and energy and the belief Poch could have instilled in him --- wow.

Main problem with JJ is that he as all so called expert pundits must have very short memories . When VDV came from Real to Spurs did we give him a pay rise or pay cut , or did he just want regular 1st team football on a reasonable wage that nearly all of us can't earn in several years let alone a week!!

You want football pundits to talk about morality instead?

Be better if football pundits kept quite , most of them talk rubbish to keep themselves in overpaid jobs.

Well that explains why they do it. But why do you listen? Jenas is a good one, he's entitled to express his views.

I met JJ a couple of times when he was playing for us but injured - up in the Corp hospitality area. Absolutely lovely guy. Took a real interest; was well spoken; no ego. Other than his oversized watch, you wouldn't know he was a footballer!

Really glad to see him building a post football career. He never quite fulfilled his potential, but was an instrumental part of the best Spurs side I have seen play.
