I dont know where to even start on his performance last night, surely nobody else in the entire league has given the ball away that many times! The Toon fans must have been pissing themselves thinking how much money they got for him! His part in the third goal was also terrible, completely bottled it.

I've never been his biggest fan, i thought he was ok but nothing more, i wish i could even call him ok at the moment. :-(

how many games have JJ and Zokora played this season. and how have we done?

that pairing is not the best, but then again, which 2 would you put in the centre?

we NEED a flair player in the middle (KPB may be the answer, but he's crocked again)

we NEED a battler, a leader, a spoiler in centre midfield, an ugly type of ball winner who gets his foot stuck in, and allows others to play - but we have not got one on our books who i could safely say does that.

we need to defend as a side from front to the back - having an average of a 2 goal handicap just to get a draw is dismal, and is compounded by the fact that we cant hit a cows arse with a barn door and a banjo at the mo.

sort it the fuck out!:bang:

hes not meant to be our playmaker you muppet. he is our engine. its Jols / Commolis fault that they haven't bought a specialised playmaker. Jenas is having to take the responsibility of creating which he isnt very good at as we dont have a player able to do so. Zokora is a headless zulu, and JJ needs to be able to play his normal game. Its like asking Makelele to be creative FFS.

I am sick of hearing this to be honest. What is "his game" because from what I've ever seen of him he below average at everything. He is shit I could name 20 midfielders in the prem alone that I would have over him.

His game is about box to box, goals and covering every blade of grass.

What would be your midfield pairing? If you would choose that second rate Zokora over him then you're mad, and clueless.

JJ had a shocker last night, but who never?

It is time to wake up MJ. Central midfielders are most critical players if you want to succeed. Why we won't try Hudd and TT in the middle? I think they gonna do it little bit better than JJ and Zoko. We need changes before it is too late.

Zokora at least got his act together a bit after their second went in. Jenas was, well, indifferent from start to finish, and that's me being as positive as possible; for their third goal he was at best slow to react, at worst a big girl's blouse.

Ha....you are being over generous. Jenas committed the cardinal sin of turning his back on the ball to allow Milner a chance for that second shot. He was useless throughout the game with no proper pass, tackle or shot throughout. At least Zokora made that cross that resulted in 1 goal. Don't get me started on Dawson. The players played a poor game but damn me if the tactics chosen by Jol (as usual played a part).

Something needs to be done and anyone saying our season is still fine after 10 games really needs to see a shrink.

Brilliant, I get it now he's "box to box". Well any idiot can run around and cover ground for 90 mins. So just because he runs around it means that it doesn't matter what he does when he's on the ball, bollocks.

Paula radcliff could cover more ground than Jenas does that mean she could be our "box to box" player.

A true box to box player is someone who covers the ground but who effects the game from areas all over the pitch. Its a player that shows up tracking a midfielder bursting into our box to make a last ditch tackle or some who gets the ball in the centre and picks out a pass or carries the ball and drives the team foward. Its someone who pops up out wide and delivers a decent cross or who gets forward with a run from midfield to get on the end of a move that they proberbly started.

Jenas gets into all these positions then consistantly does fuck all.

Gerard is a box to box midfielder, Fibreglass is a box to box midfielder, fuck even Zokora is more of a player than Jenas.

Its time that Jenas was dropped! Yet another poor performance went missing and was light weight on the ball.

I know this will annoy people but I can't keep the faith with him anymore. Alot of people believe he will come good and that he has potential, but he if dont live up to it your potential will pass you by.

Alot of people are blaming Zokora for JJ bad performance this is simply stupid. Zokora had one of his better games but wasn't all that good.

Its time the JJ fans realised what they are shovelling!

good point - JJ not just clueless, but when he repeatedly lost the ball he was indifferent.

Yes JJ turned his back on the milner strike, but watch it again and watch Dawsons reaction. He could have closed it down when it lopped up in the air (Terry would have done), but instead he watched, then turned his back like a tart.

Oh, and WHITEHART80 - if you seriously think Zokora is better than JJ you should take up Netball.

With JJ and Carrick in the side we conceded very few goals, with JJ and Zokora, TheHudd or anyone else we have conceded shed loads. Carrick was a true holding midfielder, unlike anyone else at the lane.

I don't expect any better from Zokora but for years we have heard that Jenas was gonna be a top midfielder and it aint happened becasue he doesn't look like he can be bothered.

I think you are missing a very crucial part of the equation when talking about Jenas and Carrick conceding less goals and that is Davids.

Oh by the way Davids in his pomp was a true box to box midfielder.

Once again, I must stress, Jenas is... how do you say it... FUCKIN USELESS!
He is supposed to be our 'playmaker'??

You can suck my balls Jenas.

Although I can see some might find that a tempting offer I have a sneaky suspicion that he's gonna pass on that very kind offer from you VoiceofReason...
