€5m???
Why is it we dither around, quite often getting quoted stupid fees, then after we walk away, the same player goes for nominal fee.
Not just us, I think it's PL teams in general, there's a PL tax thrown on top of all enquiries.

clearly took a pass at this one....suspect the idea was that KWP is too close in age to him

He's an absolute bargain at that price. Germany's best player when they won the Euro U21s this summer :(.

€5m is cheap as f*cking chips. For someone who can play in multiple positions, that feels like a steal

Am sure there are good reasons we didn't go for/get him. Maybe we're happy with what we have and he wouldn't have got that much game time?

I say that because on the face of it, that's seriously good value in this mental market

We got one of England's best full backs that played in there U20 winning team our philosophy is giving our youth a chance especially the talented ones

We've got a quality young RB at the Club already. If we really feel we need another RB it makes sense that we go and buy the best one possible.

pretty sure we were told (Sky's Lyall said it) 15M for us. The cost of being a prem team I guess

Maybe he only had eyes for Dortmund? Hard to say why a transfer doesn't happen, doesn't sound like he was our first choice anyway.

I like KWP a lot but Toljan is substantially better. We could easily have afforded both, let them battle it out and sold the loser for a substantial profit.

Should have kept Walker then until we had actually signed a replacement. Most other clubs seem to go about this the logical way.

We on the other hand are looking more clueless and desperate by the minute.

But what if Man City gave us a deadline to complete the deal? Poch clearly wanted him gone so you might as well get as much as you can and move on. We're clearly going to buy a few players, we just have to be patient.

5m? That's pretty cheap. A shame that we missed it. Like we missed to sign the 2 young dembeles last year.

There's definitely a PL tax but German teams also tend to sell cheaply to each other - it's like they've created a totally seperate market. Also German players tend to stay in Germany so as soon as a German club becomes interested you can essentially count us out.
