Why are u lot hyping this

it was only Wigan

Last time I looked they were a team in the Premier league, plus the fact that most fans would have sacrificed their testicles for 3 precious points, obviously your testies have'nt dropped yet.

Apart from the fact they were above us in the league at time of kick off, it is more about the things we did right than the fact we beat a side.

You can only beat what is in front of you, but the obvious signs of progress is what is encouraging for most of us.

Apparently there were some total dorks at the Lane who cheered his miss louder than his goals. WTF?

It's no different from Garth Crooks' 'Team of the Week', except that it's from the best European leagues rather than the Premiership alone, and it's not picked by Garth. But it is a compliment to him and to Spurs and should be treated as such.

That really doesn't surprise me.

Why do our supporters feel the need for some sort of hate figure? Since Stalteri has been out of the team and they have worked out that Lee is a decent player it's become Jenas and, when picked, Huddlestone and Bent.

I don't mind giving a player stick but that should be balanced with praise when they do something good.
If Jenas mis-places a pass he's a c**t, if he makes a great one then it's met with a wall of silence.

Slightly off topic, a great example of this is Tim Henman. The vast majority take the piss out of him, yet he was the fourth best player in the world.
OK, there were 3 people better than him but there were roughly 6.6 billion people who were worse.

Do we live in a nation whose kids are coming home proudly clutching their newly acquired 25 metre swimming badges only to find their parents throwing it back at them dismissively because it's only a length of the local pool and not the English Channel?

Fair play to him. He had an awesome game, jsut when we needed it.
Lets hope he can take the form of that game and put a string of decent performances together.
It will put him in contention of the england squad again if he can do so, and its clear that ramos training is having the desired effect.

Maybe after all these years of potential, he will deliver on a more consistence basis.

I've always liked Jenas, quite rate him, and he could, dare I say it, be our lampard - midfielder bursting in to notch a few goals.
