this is a player i cant stand . so so average its beyond a joke. agree with what you are saying but unless qpr offer more wages then he wont go anyway. if ever there was player to sit on his ass and do nothing this is him

im just hoping qpr might come in for bentley too or wet spam maybe. no one else i think will go near them

What was that guy Chelscum had, Wilfred Boumsong I think. He is defo the one who wins "sitting on ass getting paid shedloads" award.

If someone paid me 50k a week to sit on my ass to do nothing for the year - I wouldnt complain. Dream job actually.

How about that Wayne Bridge? Chelsea then Man City over the last 8 years or so and the combined total of games he played for either club can probably be counted on one hand.

according to wiki he played over 80 league games for Chelsea and over 40 league games for Man City.

If you count in 20's you can nearly do it :)

Mind you, I'd imagine a fair few of those were from the bench, I can't remember him having a run in either side.

I can't see him going to Leeds now...they've just signed Michael Tonge from stoke on loan.

I agree with above post...if he plays at all it'll be in away legs in Europa League.

He's a bit like one of those bogeys you sometimes get, that no amount of rolling and flicking seems to get rid of them...(i'm sure some of you have far better analogies)

This is the downside to paying decent wages. You just can't get players off your books.

Got to say that sounds a pretty snotty comment.......

Is Jenas gonna bugger off on loan then?!

I fancy we're planning on keeping him to play him in the Europa League.

Loan, yes please,.... but saving him for Europa? :nailbiting:

Crikey NO!!! Look at the teams Spurs are to play - NO WAY should he be anywhere near the team for that, please.

Coming off his injury it is sensible to get him regular games - a 4 month loan to forest, or leeds, or summink should fit the bill and evaluate his health/performance in the january window. I am all for giving the bloke a break, but let's not drop him in it and he's clearly way down the pecking order in this current squad. (y)

Don't get me wrong, I don't want him anywhere near our starting XI for any games! I'm just wondering whether he will play in the Europa/Carling Cup games.

Every time I see some activity in this thread I think at last, just maybe he's on his way out.
How disappointing it is to see nada.

Understood - same page there. IMO with his recovery from serious injury last season I do not think he's up to the level of at least 2 of the 3 EUROPA teams on the schedule before xmas - time will tell. His only chance to really make a "comeback is to play somewhere week in an week out. The championship is his only safe haven at moment - then re-evaluate in January (y)

He won't leave, with Jenas it's all about image. He'd much rather be a Spurs 'player' and be at a big club rather than drop down to a less glamorous club or city and actually play football.

I don't mind Jenas, but the annoying thing about him staying is that one could easily see him swallowing up Europa and League cup games that might otherwise be used to give playing time to the likes of Tom Carroll. Witnessing the younger players is the thing that I most look forward to during the early rounds of those competitions.
