I must admit, the thought of DB shouting "postman pat and his black and white cat" right in capello's face did make me laugh. He's obviously a twat but quite a funny one. He would of made a good court jester back in the day.

I met and spent some time will Bullard once at a pub Peterborough. I found him to be a down to earth, honest pro. Those who think that his antics (and those of Bentley) don't happen much at pro level are kidding themselves. Good player, who overachieved throughout his career.

Nothing "pro" about that behaviour

It may still go on but real pros don't behave like that in this day and age

Insulting your manager to his face? Twats. If it wasn't for the obscene money in the game they'd be sacked on the spot

Funny like that kid at school you could get to do anything short of murdering your teacher for attention who still lives about 10 yards from where you grew up and acts the big man in your old local to an audience of no marks

Ooooh, all of a sudden there's not a lad amongst you! Did i slip into a coma earlier? I thought it was just a nap, but evidently it was longer than that as everyone on here has become incredibly old and totally forgotten what it was like to be a feckless youth, let alone one with far too much money and too many people telling them they're the "next big thing".

Sure, i might not appreciate a bunch of kids with their feet on the seats, playing their music through tinny little speakers for everyone to hate, or talking too loud when i'm stuck on public transport with them, but remember - i guaran-damn-tee you that at some point when you were a youngter, a grown-up thought that same thing about you.

I might not appreciate it, but it's no different to sweaty pitted suits, with broadsheet papers that they insist on opening up completely, talking on their phones to their prick suit-mates in that guffawing way, trying to use a laptop on a crowded commute, treat everyone they encounter with an air of aloof wankerness - i used to work in the City and, if i'm honest, i preferred the conversation of the homeless, bike couriers & aussie barstaff to 99% of the be-suited cattle who were, on the whole, massively unlikeable people who believe simply because they use a train more often than you that it gives them the right to dictate behaviour.

Despite all this it doesn't explain why Bullard and Bently acting like ****s and being rude is acceptable. The both if them are 12 year old boys who haven't needed to grow up. The rest of us have.

bullards book must be shit if that story made it in. I can see how that would be funny, doing it subtly, but to openly mock you manager when you are so replaceable is just stupid.

i bet David Beckham never behaved like that, and look what regard he is held in.
