Jermaine Jenas had no hesitation in describing our matches over the festive period as 'massive'.

A busy spell of Premier League and cup football over Christmas and New Year kicks-off against Fulham at the Lane on Boxing Day (1pm).

We then travel to The Hawthorns to face West Brom on Sunday, December 28 (3pm) before our FA Cup third round tie at home to Wigan on Friday, January 2 (8pm).

That's followed by Burnley at the Lane for the first leg of our Carling Cup semi-final on Tuesday, January 6 (8pm).

"Every game is vital at the moment especially with the position we're in in the league," said JJ, who hopes to return from a calf injury to face Fulham. "We're in a dogfight and we all know that, the teams we're now playing are in and around us and we don't want to be losing points in those games.

"The picture in the league has changed so much. We were up to 14th the other day and now we've slipped back after Newcastle. That's the way it is this season.

"We have to put a few decent results together and hopefully we'll get away from it."

Fulham impressed in a 2-0 win against us at Craven Cottage back on November 15 - it was our first defeat under Harry Redknapp - and that kick-started a seven-match unbeaten run, taking Roy Hodgson's men up to eighth in the Premier League.

"They are doing really well," added JJ. "They seem to have a great spirit, they work hard as a team and the front two in Bobby (Zamora) and AJ (Andy Johnson) cause you problems and will always nick a goal.

"They give you nothing and you have to perform well to get anything out of them - that will be the case again on Boxing Day.

"I saw the teams that came up and West Brom was a team I fancied to do well because they are a footballing side, they passed their way into the Premier League but unfortunately they haven't picked up the points.

"They managed a good result against City though on Sunday and I'm sure they'll be confident now.

"We need to be getting closer to Fulham and getting away from West Brom, so these games are important."

We really need those 6 points, anything less then that is failure .... time to roll up the sleeves and be prepared for the tough ride ! Up the Spurs !

so important, these are the games ready to shape our ambitions...6 points we look at top 8....less than 4 = relegation scrap

Fulham look like quite a difficult prospect at the moment, they are on a great run and look full of confidence. I will be holding my breath on Boxing day. Also West Brom were unlucky at the weekeend, and will have gained some self belief from that game, no neither of these are a given IMO.

This season, there is no game that is easy ! I expect a real tough test for both games, but if the Spurs Faithful get behind the lads on Boxing day, they can really lift the team. With Zamora,Davies,Murphy and the nemis Johnson in this game, we will really need to control the midfield. As long as we remained focussed, we can beat these lot. Come on Spurs, I want to see Lennon really having a go at Konchesky ( forgot, we had him on loan for a while as well !) We were unlucky against the Barcodes !

fullham arent the same team they were last year and given our current semi-injury crisis its gonna be a tough one. hopefully jenas, bent, and woodgate will be back.
