Joe Lewis’ little dinghy “Aviva” moored up in Guernsey today on a 15 hour refuelling session (duty free marine fuel!)

For a bit of perspective the little ferry in the background carries 250-300 people!

Apparently is flying into Guernsey today (presumably on a private jet) to get on board.

Hi 'guernsey_spurs ..

I saw some pics - broadside - of this old tub on a Facebook page was that you as well ?

Not that impressive.
Now if he wrote off the cost of the new stadium, that would show the world what a truly wealthy man he was.

any of his daughters single? :sneaky::woot:

No daughters... any *gulp* :shifty::cautious: sons single? :bag:

You could be in luck...(from wiki) Vivienne Lewis Silverton is seen as his "heir" and serves on Tavistock's board of directors. She is divorced from Toby Silverton, the former chairman of Bristol Cars, once fully owned by Tavistock

ETA - just found an article saying she was 40 in 2000 - so about 57-58 now. But the shark move is that she has two daughters...

It was quite a sight to see. Possibly over in this part of the world to have a look at the new stadium? Hopefully he’s over to discuss a few deals too

Just checking his offshore funds.

I can identify with this.
I like to look in my secret cash drawer sometimes.
It's in an old spectacle case
in my bedside cabinet.

Damn!

Tennis you say...

Walks in...quickly walks out to write his application to be a ball boy.

Walks back in...deflated by the fact that he's only gone and written 'ball bag' as opposed to 'ball boy' when asked what position he is applying for.

Might have been worse - a ship like that would need a good anchor man.

If it’s any consolation, you’re still fully qualified.

Just like Joe Lewis, I too started out with nothing, but I still have most of it left.

just checking because I'm a little worried, but when you see red writing on a piece of paper from the bank, is that a good or bad thing.

I ignore them letters they keep sending. I did tell them before if they are going to use red, I won't correspond anymore because I hate that colour, but they must of thought I was joking because I got another one this morning:whistle:

My old boss from Brighton is a bit posh (and a big Arsenal fan). Tells me last summer his dad (old, posher) sails and whilst near the south of spain was having lunch when he got talking to an elderly man about sailing and was invited over to join him and his wife on their table.

He says it turned out to be Joe Lewis. He basically is of no fixed abode- his nationality is his boat now so pays no tax. Although he spends time in the Bahamas, on his boat.

After chatting about boats, when he mentioned to Lewis that he was an Arsenal fan, Lewis abruptly ended their chat and lunch and kicked them off the table.

There’s a photo of them but I never got to see it while I worked there.

It’s got its own tennis court. I can’t stop thinking that that’s a bit weird.
