Joe Martin - future solution to the left or not?

I don't make any presumptions about the players according to the FM, but anyway, when I was playing it one day my Spurs team -surprisingly- lacked a left sided player. And I promoted Joe Martin from the reserves. And he did very well in the game.

So I get interested who he is, but 'cause I can't see any reserves or youth team games I wonder if anyone here could tell me about him?

Is he a promising left sided player? How has he managed in reserves? Could he be one solution for our left side problems in the future? Or another young player who can't make it to the 1st team? Any opinions?

Cheers!!

From what I have seen of him, he looks like a decent player, but already at the age 19 and being a bit injury prone, may hinder him from playing for us.

surely if we should promote any left sided players from the academy/reserves it should be yuri berchiche - LB/CB, and Rose who is a LW, and a fast one at that.

From what I've heard about rosey, he's a bit of a left-sided lennon, but with better crosses.

Out of all the reserves, he's the one I cant wait to actually get a look at for myself...

Joe like his dad is more of a CB than a left back good player has had a lot of injuries but is one to watch out for but if you want a left back Charlie Daniels is your man we should call him back from the OS and use him in the same roll we have been using Bale.He is not as good as Bale but who is in the prem but watching him in the reserves very rare he has a bad game and could do a good job for us.

I've heard a lot about Rose, but I've never actually seen him play. Any chance we might see him by the end of the season?

Andthus the case against FM was proven .

I take it you did not see the Fulham v Spurs reserve game last week? Martin played at LB and was woeful. Poor passing, gave away possession and at one point let the ball run under his foot and out for a throw-in. Schoolboy errors doesn't even begin to describe it.

He's not a reserve regular so harsh to judge him on one performance but in no way, shape or form is he ready for the first team.

It'll be interesting to see how Danny Rose progresses as nobody really expected Lennon to suddenly breack into the first team how he did in the first season.

The only concern would be having 2 very young and raw wingers but then it may take pressure off Lennon if Rose is on the other flank making it difficult for oppoisition teams to double up on one of them.

Also Malbranque has been doing very well this season - a few games back I was in favour of Lee / Bale combo but now Bale / Malbranque has been doing very well.

Even though Bale's gonna be out until March... :-(

He must have been watching Chimbonda in the away game against Anderlecht then.

From what ive been hearing about danny rose i dont think we need to rush out and buy a LW in jan, steed has done a very good job there this season and when the time comes for danny to start breaking into the first team we will have options there.
