Great idea, get him off the radar and playing some regular competitive football and become a more rounded person by going to live in another country.

omg how they mighty have fallen

Whats that suppose to mean, he has never been a arrogant git who claimed this and that, the only reason everyone knows his name is because simon jordan made the tribunal public and print worthy

No says that about the leeds lads or dean parrot, but people assume this guy is arrogant

Personally I just think this is a load of shite, why would the MLS be doing loans now, their season has just finished a month ago

Bostock did run his mouth off to the papers about Johnny Foreigner standing in his way at Spurs. His Dad then went on national radio and criticised Redknapp. So Bostock isn't totally innocent.

Are you sure? because i remember listening to the interview whilst driving in the car and he said he was happy with his progress and hopes that harry sends him on loan again next season to championship club

TBH I dont disagree with what he said about foreign players, it has made it harder for players to come through but thats the price you pay for having the best league in the world

This is my thinking as well. I dont think his reputation (from previous loans) is all that great so I couldnt see many clubs in England wanting to take him on.

He'll flourish in the MLS, interesting to see how this develops

He's not set the world alight on his loan spells - he scored that cracker on the first day of last season for Hull, but struggled after that.

I think expectations were artificially raised, as they always are when a kid makes a move that garners lots of press. The thing that gets me is he is still only 19!!

I'm not sure this is the greatest move in the world for him - Dawkins went out to the Earthquakes and did pretty well, but he isn't going to do anything at Spurs - perhaps its to get him out of the spotlight, away from bad influences or something.

Maybe it all came too soon for John, I do worry that we might ruin/have ruined his career.

This a move I suggested might happen. Tim has said the MLS is good place to loan technical players, and Bostock is one who has rather pissed on his chips as far as the Football League is concerned. As with Dawkins, who had dropped off the radar of domestic scouts, this could be an opportunity for rehabilitation. Parrett is another who could benefit from going down this route.

I will be interested to see what happens next with Dawkins. He is one of a number of youngsters who could come into contention for Cheltenham (particularly with Townsend, Kane and Mason shipped out), which would be a good shop window for him.

I don't know what he is like now but earlier in his career he would be tip top if everything was going his way but disappear when it wasn't, no good to us until he learns to deal with this.

From SO:

I was talking to a fella over christmas who son was released by Spurs, and he said Bostock is so arrogant he will never make it...
Thinks he is owed the world etc etc
Like the op said, will do him a favour to get away from it.

Could be a good opportunity to do some growing up and kick-start his career, hope he realises this and he benefits from it, if it happens.
