He seems to me one of those players that doesn't have the mentality for being loaned out, iirc thats one of the reasons they sell players in spain and insert a buy back clause

The player then knows its last chance saloon and if they don't do well their career is over, this also may explain his good start for his new clubs before it tails off

I think quiet a few would actually if it was a low fee or even free, i mean if we sold him for free and had a million pound buy back clause then I think a few clubs would be interested

Not entirely surprising. Megson turned Wednesday into a lump-it-to-the-big-guy team, I couldn't see someone like Bostock ever fitting into that system. Perhaps there's a loan deal in the works for him to go to more of a "footballing" team.

One of the major problems of English football.

One of the major problems of English football.

More the result of Wednesday becoming a "Gary Megson Team". By all accounts they were a somewhat decent footballing side (in the Championship only a couple of seasons back), but all Megson did, according to my manager, who makes it to most games, was buy 6-foot plus shithouses to hoof the ball to. Rather baffling decision for Spurs to send him there in the first place really.

Apologies.

What I really meant to say is that a major problem of English football is that this method is used in the belief it lead to success.

It is to the detriment of football that this type of game has been allowed to flourish (or should I say, fester) in England.

Too many Gary Megsons, not enough <insert good manager's name here s>.

This is probably why someone like Swansea's manager is considered a major breath of fresh air.

"Harry said it would be good if I played under Paolo, just to get some games under my belt. If my manager tells me that then I've got to take heed to what he says.

Maybe the penny has finally dropped. Not that 'Arry will be here next season, but nevertheless.

He could still com good. He's got a yr, maybe two. I hopehe takes advantage of this move. The attitude has to change or he'll never make it. Maybe he just doesn't want it enough. There's a whole world out there, with a myriad possibilities.

I don't think he is going to make it with us but surely his must look at what Jake Livermore has done this season and think I fancy me a bit of that! He has the ability but his loan reports have been disgraceful. Can't see him having many more chances.

He sounds a bit reluctant to me. Oh and he might be calling him Paolo now but I expect it'll be Mr Di Canio and a smack round the head if he tries that on the training ground.

First time in a while that we have loaned out an outfield player below League One level; for a lad who has been loaned out at Championship level it tells a story.

I don't think anyone doubts his ability he clearly got talent and is good enough to play in the championship atm but it seems his attitude and desire(more so imo) is not there to do well

I think thats why we should sell with a buy back option
