Didn't someone tweet the other day that he rejected them back in October November time.

Edit: so they did, it's on the previous page.

Is that a new series?

A youth prospect gets found on the border between Arsenal and Tottenham territories and a quirky Scandinavian detective has to work out which club they belong to, but uncovers a sordid tangle of conspiracy and deceit...

Not sure if the United fans understand how big this would've been for them, or in fact what he's done for our setup. Seen a few responses on twitter like "Oh wow, a Spurs "scout" just turned us down... how will we ever cope" and "We'll just take him when we take Pochettino and Kane in the summer"

Bless them.

The main thing I get from this is how positive it looks to the younger players at the club, and the potential for other youngsters to see us as a viable option when they see the way everything is improving throughout the whole set - up. Not just the training ground but a place where the staff feel there is a bright future

Also, suggests McDermott feels there is significant talent coming through that staying really is a no brainer.

I think it was the express reporting that man united are now making cut of 15% to every department and really cutting back at their academy, due the there massive spend on transfers and the possibility of missing out of Cl again.

Apparently has been given a promotion - into Baldini's old job:

Tottenham Academy ‏@thfcacademy
I hear there has been a change of staff in the academy: Dean Rastrick is the new Academy Director, John McDermott is now technical director.

McDermott will now work with the first-team in addition to overseeing the Academy.
