Yeah sure if you've got the time, I'd appreciate it. I've got a bunch of Dead/Jerry/Bob shows on my blog (in my sig below), you might be interested in them.

No problem, I'll get it done over the weekend. Just pinched a Doc Watson live show off your blog that I didn't have, very nice!

Chief Magistrate Howard Riddle said he had heard a great deal of evidence to show Mr Terry was not a racist.

The trial was not about whether John Terry was racist or not, it was about whether he made a racist comment to another person.
As I said earlier in the thread one racist comment doesn't make someone a racist.

Garth really sits on the fence in the BBC video, as for the FA enquiry the best they can do is probably charge him with improper conduct.

Quite a family

Mum - Shoplifter
Dad - Drug dealer
Brother - Caused the suicide of a promising young footballer
Terry - Adulterer, unconvicted racist, parks in disabled bays, insults 9/11 victims

You missed out taking money for showing people around the Chavs ground.

Does anyone know if today was the same magistrate who managed to delay the case so that it didn't disrupt Chelsea's season?

Just hope the FA set up a Surez type inquiry and do him on a lesser level of evidence, civil case style.

Guys... sorry if already posted.

Check out this PDF of court proceedings on the BBC website.

"The prosecution has presented a strong case. There is no doubt that John Terry uttered the words “fucking black ****” at Anton Ferdinand. When he did so he was angry. Mr Ferdinand says that he did not precipitate this comment by himself accusing Mr Terry of calling him a black ****."

In the end, I don't think the magistrate had much choice. The whole thing reminded me of having to sort out a punch-up between two particularly dim twelve-year-olds during my brief flirtation with teaching nearly 40 years ago. Only Terry really knows exactly what he said, and what he meant by it.

He's still a ****.

Answers on of my questions - Terry just suddenly decided to insert the phrase into the conversation for no apparent reason.

Anyway, as said above, I don't think he says I never said effing black c, I think he says yeah, yeah, you effing black c.

I agree and it leaves me wondering why the case even got that far to begin with. If lip reading experts weren't going to be enough to get a conviction, somebody should have told the prosecution before they wasted all this time and money.

As SS57 has said by law he's not guilty because there is a tiny amount of doubt. Fair enough.

The FA system makes a decision on the balance of probabilities...and it is 99% certain that John Terry racially abused Anton Ferdinand. If they hide behind this verdict they once again make a mockery of their own processes by treating Terry different from Suarez. Does that make the FA racist?
If they don't put this right they can stick their "Kick it out" campaigns etc up their well paid arses.

Probably xenophobes and definitely, just for a change, spineless, gutless cowards.

Does make a mockery of the kick it out campaign! Also, by doing nothing the FA are doing undeserved harm to Ferdinand's reputation. Is he now the boy who cried wolf?

The fact is Anton didn't want this to go to court. He was called as a witness by Terry's legal team, that's my understanding after hearing Efan Ekoku speak about it. Had it just been dealt with by the FA like the Suarez case I think Teflon John would be looking at a ban. Now I can't see it happening.

I still think Terry'll get a ban for bringing the game into disrepute, after all he has confessed to saying those words. If not, then the FA really need to re-evaluate the Kick it Out campaign.

I assure you I am merely being sarcastic when I say that John Terry is a pigeon nosed piece of dog shit and a disgrace to the game. Sarcasm.
