I didn't count King or Woodgate as they don't play enough games to be judged these days so I would certainly put Terry ahead of those 2 and on a par with Rio Ferdinand but not as good as Vidic

Were Terry to express an interest in coming to Spurs I would snap him up in a heartbeat.

As fas as actual talent goes, King is a class above, honestly he is...and yes I know he's no use on the treatment table!

A fit Ledley King would of been the best defender in the County, and one of the very best in World football.

Absolute travesty that he hasn't been able to showcase his talents on a consistent basis.

Terry is very good but I just couldn't stomach him in a Spurs shirt, I have limits :wink:

and I know the counter to this is...you sign anybody who will improve your chances and thats true, but signing him just wouldn't feel right to me, would leave a very sour taste in the mouth.

You see it doesn't have to be like the two extremes you present. There is a hell of a lot of middle ground between those two situations.

To be honest as well, any player who pulls on the Spurs shirt is an ambassador for this Club, I wouldn't want a group thugs like Barton running around in a Spurs shirt - no thanks, or certainly not a whole team of them :wink:

I would just rather have a few more Sandro's or Wilson's if its a bit more steel and grit your looking for.

He is definitely over rated IMO so have never rated him. Saying that, he could be the best defender in the world, Ferdinand, King, Vidic all rolled into one, I still think he is a **** and have always thought so, from his days way back with Jody Morris (another ****), so I wouldnt want him anywhere near our club.
