Yes, it was a lads' weekend to sample some fine sherries and we just happened to bump into Juande. Total coincidence, this sort of shit always happens. Trust us.

Well, I believe what Levy told us about how it works, and I hope that the spokesman is right. Otherwise Jol is losing the class he had. He lost some of it when he didn't walk.

I think it's nonsense to walk off. It will mean Jol's

1) A quitter who can't handle pressure. Will not look good on resume

2) An Idiot. for walking off from 4 million compensation package after being backstab by the board.

I think it is obvious that Jol did not have the same relationship with Comolli as he had with Frank Arnesen. Jol is a top man, but I have got that impression that he was not afraid to tell about his opinions about things. He probably told Comolli his opinions, and wanted to be the one who decided the transfer targets. He did not accept Comolli's positon, even though he knew he was the one in charge of transfers.

I am so glad that Comolli did his job, and brought in his players, as I do not believe that Jol had that expertise in finding right players for the best of THFC.

Comolli had brought in talent to build a future at THFC. He has done some good pieces of business, and Tottenham will be a great team in the future because of that. I am very happy with Comolli, and are looking forward to what he can achive together with Ramos. I think DC and JR will have a good discussion about transfer targets in the future.

Don't agree , 57 that Levy and the Board don't give a shit about the fans .

Levy saw the treatment handed out to Sugar . He is now mindful of fan power and takes heed of their opinions imo .

Maybe if it wasn't for his fear of the fans he would have got a new man in in the summer .

Secondly , I still don't see it as a hanging offence for an employer to sound out possible replacements for a failing employee ( 50% of SCers in a poll wanted a change of management at the time as well as the Board) . It happens at all clubs ,maybe our men didn't get the right false moustaches together . Sorry , but I forgive them for this cloak and dagger failure to avoid the press .

Thirdly 57 is repeating as gospel that there were malicious leaks from Board level intended to undermine Jol . Pure speculation , fuelled by a strange emotional hatred .These are not good conditions for the sober weighing up of facts imo 57 . .

I say forget all this stuff and observe....We have the best possible manager in place . There is a large rump on SC that simply will not allow themselves to be pleased about this.

GET OVER IT

So where did those rumours come from? Do you imagine they made themselves up?

We may well have the best possible manager (sorry, head coach) in place. That doesn't mean I have to be happy about the truly shambolic circumstances of his arrival. And if bandwagon-jumping morons who couldn't follow their own noses to a shit-and-anchovy pizza insist on slagging off Jol's record, I'll continue to defend it. Those same mugs will turn on Ramos quickly enough if there isn't a very rapid improvement.

I'm getting worried. I keep reading a Spursking post and agree with the contents.

I'm sure that normal service will be resumed as soon as he reverts to praising Zokora.

Yeh 57 I was expecting my normal whack on the back of the head with a rolled up newspaper...I'd miss it if it didn't come .

..but I think you're wrong about fan patience with Ramos . I'd be dumbfounded if we see a 'Ramos out' comment in the next year .
Jol did get just shy of 3 years y'know .

what a couple of three weeks its been for spurs..out with the old in with the new...as for slaaging of our board ss57,who had the foresight to notice there was trouble at mill and went about making the right changes, you have imo compramised your support for our wonderful club..you may belive it was shambolic the way we approached it but we got caught and the media had an absolute field day with it and THEY turned it into a circus..the board have gone out and again imo and secured the services of one of the most respected coaches within in the game..they constantly support financally the first team..and still turn over a handsome sum every quarter...has for the merchandise that is the choice of the consumer..so please have the foresight to see the bigger picture...

Unhappy yes, but the level of your reaction is ridiculous, anyone would think we were talking about the Third Reich here. The board got caught talking to another coach because they didn't believe the one they had was good enough. For whatever reason they were unable to make the appointment immediately (whispers to JR about the Chelsea job I suspect) and they got left in a horrible situation. They handled it poorly, but it's hard to see how, once they'd be caught, they could have done anything better.

The truth remains that the current board and Levy in particular are responsible for leading our club closer to the top echelon than we've been for a generation. You've seen clubs like Villa, Chelsea, Newcastle and Man City bailed out after spending irresponsibly and leaving themselves up sh*t-creek and Leeds Utd go bust and at the same time as we've only grown stronger. We've been spending incredible amounts, but also spending wisely, we're the fifth best team in the Premiership and we've done it off our own backs and not thanks to some sugar daddy. It seems that some people (and you're long in the tooth SS57 so I'm surprised by you) put all of that in one pan and the Jol situation in the other and somehow manage to come to the conclusion that they weigh the same. Worse, that the one side didn't happen, that it would have happened anyway or that it happened despite... in fact to hear many tell it (not least in this thread) the Jol pan may as well be full of lead, while the Levy carrying naught but feathers.

And if bandwagon-jumping morons who couldn't follow their own noses to a shit-and-anchovy pizza insist on slagging off Jol's record, I'll continue to defend it. Those same mugs will turn on Ramos quickly enough if there isn't a very rapid improvement.
Who? Which mugs? You're Scrappy-Do having fights with people who don't exist or don't matter. In fact your over reaction towards the board is no better than theirs which you decry.

jol was seriously undermined , on purpose, by daniel levy and levy is responsible for our current problems. we needed experienced cb's and exp midfielders for the english game, to start this season as we finished the last. no doubt we should have got kaboul but he was always going to need to time to settle in, even up to a year.

to dismantle a coach's rep in the way levy did is, atrocious.

jol had his faults (who doesnt?) but overall he was a very good coach for us and,
had he been given more power in transfers, would have continued to make us a force in europe, and the prem.

levy did well for us before but anyone that can defend him now is clearly missing the bigger picture.
