We really turned a corner when he took over. Still angry at the way he was sacked. He deserved so much better.

I know this thread is about Jol but what happened to Birkinshaw? I havent seen or heard anything of him to do with our WHL history on that occasion last Sunday, or did I miss something?

The last I heard of him I think he was a technical director at Watford above boothroyd but that was years ago!

I'm sure he was there. I believe I saw an interview and a few pics on social media.

The last I heard of him I think he was a technical director at Watford above boothroyd but that was years ago!
Yeah he was number two to Aidy Boothroyd (quite a drop down after winning the UEFA cup) but left for "family reasons". Suspect it was partly a case of not wanting to sack the manager but the team couldn't get in the premier league - a philosophy they've since changed.
