Yeovil Town Football Club are set to complete the signing of Tottenham Hotspur striker Jonathan Obika.

The forward, who will celebrate his 21st birthday next month, joins the club on a loan deal until the beginning of January.

Of course, Jonathan is no stranger to Glovers fans having spent three successful loan spells at Huish Park already.

In March 2009, he arrived in Somerset and scored four times in the final ten games; two of the goals were winners (against Swindon Town and Northampton Town) while his third sparked a 2-0 win over Millwall and his fourth earned a valuable point at Tranmere Rovers.

He spent a longer spell the following season, 2009/10, scoring 7 goals in 25 appearances for the Glovers before returning to White Hart Lane to then get loaned to Millwall.

Last season, he has spent brief loan spells with Championship side Crystal Palace and League One sides Peterborough United and Swindon Town before returning once more to Huish Park at the end of March. In eleven games, he scored three times and helped the Glovers to accumulate 21 points during his spell here.

His overall record with Yeovil is 14 goals in 46 appearances, eleven of which have come from the bench.

During his previous time with Yeovil, he also received callups to the England under-20 squad and featured in the matches against Ghana and Uruguay in the under-20 World Cup.

Everyone at Huish Park wishes Jonathan well on his return to Yeovil and hopes he enjoys a successful spell here with the Glovers.

I had a double on Reading and Charlton today and was well pissed when "1-0 Obika" came up.

Good for the lad, but I'm even happier that Charlton turned it around in the last minute
