Hes the midfielder out of all the others mentioned so far that would make us tick and get us on the attack much faster before teams have had a chance to get set with there 8 men behind the ball which we come up against week in week out.
If you watch some of his videos you can see how much space the attackers have where he has played them in early and can run into space, with moura coming in next year his pace can really exploit teams

Lets hope some of the rumours are true
I could see him working very well with Dele as his balls over the top of a defense rely on runners. Our forwards would have to work the offside trap very very well for J to be deployed best.

It’s obviously a tactic Poch encourages which leads me to think there may be an ounce of truth....

He plays better in a CM 3 so not sure it's the right move for us unless we change tactics anyway; which I think we should do btw with our current players.

So he’s very similar to Carrick then? That gets a big tick from me, we should never have sold Carrick. To have seen him and Berbatov in the same team, well, we’d have got CL football a lot sooner.. maybe we will go 3 at CM, like City? Having a destroyer (Vic), a quick thinking passer (Jorginho) and a more forward thinking playmaker (Eriksen).. Sounds good!

Also, is de Jong a similar player? Maybe a cheaper more achievable option? From what I’ve seen, he doesn’t play the strikers in as quick, but he certainly has the ability to.

I'd love de Jong, even if I don't think he has the PL-levl in him yet. Big future star though

If we are going after a Napoli midfielder, I believe we are more likely getting Diawara rather than Jorginho.
Either way, not a bad result.

No way Napoli lets both of them go in the same window. Also, does everyone just want us to buy only teenagers?! Diawara/De Ligt/Sessegnon would make everyone here perfectly happy?

Would want all three of them plus a Khedira type midfielder

Agreed. I too don't see them letting go of 2/3 of their starting midfield in one window.
I simply stated that given our circumstances we may not be spending as high on a single player like Jorginho unless he's our so called "marquee" signing going into the NWHL. Diawara is raw but talented & more within our spending means while young & energetic enough for MP to mold him.

Would be absolutely perfect. Literally the kind of player we need. Shame its not happening.

Diawara doesn't start for them.

Probably have no chance, but we should be looking at him.

So Jorginho leaving Napoli is predicated on the idea that Lucas Torreira from Sampdoria is signed as his replacement. Sources state that Lucas Torreira has a €25 million (£22.5 million) clause as his agent confirmed

“We signed a new five-year contract a few months ago, inserting a €25 million (£22.5 million) clause that is not in question. The most important thing now, however, is not this, the guy must be serene and give it all on the pitch. With Samp the relations are great.”

Currently, Napoli are no closer to signing Lucas. We should probably go for Torreira instead as scouting reports describe him as the next Marco Veratti/ in that mould.
