Having just seen the footage from the scene I’m not surprised he didn’t make it, only a burnt out shell of a car left. Sad sad story.

I remember working in Waitrose up in High Barnet when I was at Uni. The guy used to come in to shop there and was really rude to the staff, didn't come across as a nice guy and was very up himself. Nonetheless, that's a sad way to go and at such a young age. RIP.

Felt terrible for him at first, but now I only have sympathy for his family. He was going so fast one of his wheels exploded under the pressure.

He had three children, and a wife who was already grieving the loss of her brother. What a selfish, inconsiderate, stupid fucking thing for him to be doing. Killed two of his cousins and at that speed, he’s lucky he didn’t kill anybody else at the same time.

I know red tops are aimed at the great unwashed and uneducated but surely their own editors could see that Madrid and Seville are not the same cities? It calls into question the accuracy of any of the “facts” in the story.

It’s not only the mirror that are reporting that he was doing well over the speed limit.
