Jose was just the shot in the ass Dele needed, as he was on a downward spiral in form and becoming a shadow of his former self. I'm counting on Jose to continue bringing out the best in Dele as the season progresses. It'll be like a new £50M signing if that happens!

As long as Dele continues to keep it up, I don't wanna see him down tools again, it's been happening too much with him.

And Jose pretty much said so after his first few sessions according to All or nothing. Lazy in training is the term used if I remember correctly.

I have to ask, who is responsible for Allis poor form. He looked ok at the end of last seaon. I feel, all this business with, will he stay or go was the essance of the problem. He was religated to nonessential squad player so declined . Now hes not going anywhere, hes back in favour. Maybe it was Allis mental state or Jose being obstinate once he decided Alli was no longer in his plans.

Reading between the lines I think it is all to do with problems off the pitch. Maybe he is struggling with the lockdown and also we forget he was badly burgled last year. Those kind of things can have a big effect on people. He is quite immature, despite what he has gone through, so maybe he is taking a while to come to terms with things. Throwing himself seriously into his football could be the escape he needs.

I don't think the 'who' that's co-responsible in the first place is as important as the 'who' that's bringing Dele back. Like it or not, the 'who' bringing him back thus far are Jose Mourinho and Dele himself.

There were a lot of fans, myself included, who wanted Dele dropped. His form was awful and he deserved to be taken out of the first team, not saying necessarily to the extent that Jose did it.

I am by no means a Jose supporter but the one thing I do agree with him is where he says players must take biggest responsibility for their performances. Dele of two years ago is a no brainer in the team, it is up to him to get back to that. Thankfully it looks like he might be starting to find form.

Or it could be that Dele has recently split up from his girlfriend and she's moved out of their place together and now the gossip pages are being filled with stories of his all night Fortnite marathons.

I'm sure the relationship situation would be a distraction for him but if he's spending so much time playing video games we only need look at David James to see how that can damage match day performance

So he was so inconsolable that he wanted to go on loan to PSG so he could get game time and Jose and ledley king need to go to his house to make him feel better, come on.

What’s the story with David James?

When he was Liverpool’s No 1, fans attributed “Calamity” James’s goal-mouth lapses to his partying. However, James blamed an addiction to video games, claiming they affected his concentration. In 1997, after letting in three Newcastle goals, he said he’d been up late playing Tekken and Tomb Raider.
