King's comments only adds to Spurs speculation
Bournemouth striker Josh King has opened the door to a summer move to Spurs, saying talk of a switch there has left him "intrigued".

King impressed in the Premier League with the Cherries last season, scoring 16 goals, including five in his final seven appearances, form that led to speculation he could be a transfer target for clubs higher up the table this summer.

The Norway international was thought to be on Tottenham boss Mauricio Pochettino's radar, while Everton have also been linked, and now King has fuelled talk he could move on, saying it is difficult to ignore speculation when a club like Spurs are said to be ready to pounce.

He told the Daily Echo: "I was focusing on the season and finishing it strongly. But I would be a liar if I said I hadn't noticed it. It was in most papers in England and you have got people tagging you and sending you links here and there.

"I was intrigued even being mentioned in the same sentence as Spurs, a big team who play in the Champions League."

King only signed a four-year contract at the Vitality Stadium last summer although he admits he doesn't know where his long-term future lies, but for now he is planning on still being at Bournemouth when the new campaign kicks off.

He added: "It is the summer holiday now and I've learned so much from the gaffer here. You never know in football but, hopefully, I will be here next year and I'm looking forward to working with the gaffer, because he's been brilliant with me since the day I set foot on the training ground."

Personally I would take him as a backup striker, always seem to make an impact.
