His pace strength and direct running have caused city problems at least they given away a lot of could on him.
Looked quite good today indeed. With his pace and running he'd be an upgrade on VJ. His shot that hit the post was great piece of skill.

seems like he might be our backup transfer option, not a bad backup to have.

Looks ok playing on the break and giving his side an outlet

will he be as good playing against teams that park the bus like most teams do against us?

i'm not sure....could be wrong.

Having Googled him, I can't see anything to suggest that there are fresh links to him. Have there been recent suggestions that a move could be back on? I know that Bournemouth want Gray from Leicester. Would a move hinge on that happening?

I think his other positive is his physicality and ability to win headers in the box. So, yeah, I could see a long raking diagonal from Toby or something thrown over by a WB knocked down by King for Kane or Alli. He can also track a WB, Mendy not up to speed yet but King occupied him very well.

Janssen is a much more limited animal so as I said as the window opened if we could get King in at a loss of 7 or 8 mill then worth doing.

Yeah, there may be better out there but ENIC doesn't spend their own money, just the Clubs.

Don't know why but for some reason have thought all summer that we might end up back here with Josh King. He's been like the white walkers, standing idly by north of the wall doing fuck all All summer until the final moments of the window hits and he'll suddenly take centre stage.

Don't really know enough about him, just doesn't seem like a particularly inspired or exciting option as it stands

We can get and should get better than Josh King ... and we do spend..

Sissoko 30m , Janssen 17m GKN 15M would any of them be missed if they left?

Lets get in a quality wide forward who would really push the current first 11 and could also cover up top if Kane was ever unavailable for whatever reason. ....

Costs money i know...but we are still in the black this window and have alot of deadwood we can and should shift.

You're right, WE do spend- THEY don't. Moving the players you list out, and bringing one bit of quality in would
I agree be the ideal way to go. But don't just say King is not good enough for us/our ambitions then fail to suggest at least a couple of names who would meet the mark and you think we could get?

Most of the anti-King stuff is prejudicial, previously unknown, Bournemouth, Norweigian blabla. If he played in France and had a fancy name... people need to objectively look at his football.

I think that was the plan with Balde but he has dicked us around.

We have been linked with a few quality wide forwards Martial , Zaha ,Balde etc all would have no problem if called upon at Real or Dortmund.....King on the other hand in the CL? huge risk IMO

That should be our aim to go to the top level.

we know why we're currently not getting either of them.

Lad would be like signing Bentley. Can be a good player but nowhere near the calibre we are looking for

Would much rather spend £40m on Mahrez than £25m on Josh King, personally. He's not 'shit' but I don't see that he improves us or even threatens the starting 11, whereas someone like Mahrez would.

It'd be depressing going from talk of Balde and Martial to signing King.
