Should have kept Kyle Naughton and Tom Carroll too then? I mean, they could have come good at some point.
That's a ridiculous thing to say - both Tom and Kyle played multiple times and had plenty of chances. Nobody is saying promote youth for the sake of it. But give them a decent go to prove themselves - or otherwise.

wasn't he also a jinx? we lose every match which he played it... then harry brought him on when we had a 3 or 4 goal lead iirc. the rest is history.

Personally, i think Onomah has to make the personal decision to want it. he needs to put in the effort, no one gets great overnight, i am sure all of the best players in the world put in alot into training and conditioning so that when the chance comes, they will shine.

But that's what happened in the case of MS. Kept playing him until he suddenly became good. I think Onomah is getting a decent go to prove himself at other clubs and if that's not enough for Poch then I trust the big man. His judgement regarding our youngsters has been pretty good imo (except the lack of game time for KWP).

I'd like to see us bring Onomah back from loan now. I feel like now is a better time than ever, with ongoing injuries, to get him back in training and see if he can have a positive impact for us. Start with sub appearances but most importantly for him to play in CM where's he's rarely been given a chance as a Spurs player.

I'm still a big fan and think he could be a valuable squad player for us. Reality is that we need more players in CM and if we're not going to sign someone then he should come back from loan.

Very little about Onomah in this thread and people seems to be forgetting/not knowing he’s injured again

He’s becoming a bit of a injury prone

Oh no, thought this was about our midfield shortage and the need to recall him. It’s a midfield injury orgy at our training ground.

I asked Poch about Eric Dier and his fitness. He said he could be fit enough to be on the bench on Sunday. I also asked about Josh Onomah, who is recovering from an injury at Hotspur Way. He admitted he's considering recalling him from his loan.

I hope the decision isn’t between staying at Sheffield or coming back, the decision should be loan him out to another club or coming back because he can’t play under Bruce again, that’s torture

damn, he's had so many injuries over the past couple of years.

Very easy to forget too. He's definitely got some ability, just hasn't had the chance to acquit himself at a decent level consistently. Perhaps like Mason, he'll come through a bit later than some.

The lad just lacks intensity and urgency!

As an aside I’ve just seen one of the goals of the season from Wednesday’s Forestieri
