Josh finally got his chance to horn his skill as a Box to box CM. With the grueling fixture in championship, it will be a big test on his physics as well as mentality. 3 yrs of Poch training will showcase how Josh add to a crap Aston villa side with some Poch philosophy.

The high press, using body to defend the ball, the quick release of the ball to wide man and the immediate transition from defends to attack and vice versa. I really hope he light up the league and come back much stronger.

His U23 WC performance shows he is capable of it and I have faith in him turning the tide. He needs to put 150% in this year to have a shot at the title with us in the new stadium.

Good luck Josh, we have faith in you. Remember the philosophy and don't let the rubbish players affect u. Cheers
It was U20 world cup which, I know doesn't,change your point but I think sometimes we all forget how young he is.

Re josh I think it's a good move as he will play for a dominant team and get practice breaking down packed defences. With Brighton he'd be in the prem but backs to the wall job most weeks.

My Villa mate just sent me a text that he played like a donkey today
Came on to play behind Agbonlahor as Villa chased a winner and his display was a bit mixed. Won a FK in the first few minutes with 3 Villa players around him, played one through ball to Green to his wrong side and it ran out of play, blazed a chance over at the far post(but was offside anyway). Generally passed and shielded the ball well. Roughly a 6 out of 10.

Not sure if this is the thread for it but seems Josh played very well in Villa's League Cup game against Colchester today. Loads of Villa fans on Twitter praising his performance. Love for him to keep it up.
