Report coming out from South America that his representative (who it seems is Juan Sebastian Veron) is travelling to England to listen to an offer from us.

I think this guy is the source, the translation is shit so here's the original tweet:

Dos de La Plata: Verón viaja a Tottenham por una fuerte oferta del equipo de Pochetino por Foyth. Y Rinaudo puede seguir en gelp

Do you know if this guy is reliable @Ossie85 ?

I was just coming to put that. I was watching the TV at the moment they said that. Castillo is a very good journalist, often dedicated to River Plate news, but gets info from other teams too.
Veron is Estudiantes' president, not his representative
I have never seen Foyth play, so I can't help here

Some people are saying the journo said he's actually having a medical with us. Is that true? Or did he just say we're preparing an offer or something.

No, he didn't say that

He said Foyth would very likely leave Estudiantes for Tottenham, and that Veron was flying tomorrow to Londo. As I said, Veron is Estudiantes' president. He also said this negotiation started because there is a close relation between Veron and Pochettino

@Ossie85 Thanks for the update.

So I see Poch has cut Levy out of the loop and is negotiating his own transfer targets now. ;)

Looks a tidy player. Decent on the ball, brings the ball out well, athletic, but also does the basics of defending well. Definitely agree he could be ideal as a Dier understudy, playing centre back but able to step forward into a DM role.

I'm sure the article I read a while back stated we were definitely interested, but would have to move quick as Roma were also looking. Fairly reasonable fee was suggested to.

If we carry on playing 3 at the back, we currently have
RCB - Alderweireld, Carter-Vicker
CB - Dier
LCB - Vertonghen, Wimmer
DM - Wanyama

6 players for 4 positions. A young project option to cover Dier as CB and also Wanyama as DM would be a pretty decent balance.
