Sorry as much as I hate our rivals, I am more concerned about Tottenham becoming great again and challenging for trophies etc, more than winning the odd occassional game against Arsenal.

So if he can do that, then and only then will he become a legend.

Let's not get carried away over a series of statistically insignificant set of results. A Carling Cup win, A UEfa Cup win and a draw and a win in the league mean nothing. Especially when you consider the opposition.

Don't forget that Martin Jol won five games in a row from Boro away (a draw under Wendy) through Wigan, onto West Ham away, Brum at home and Man City. So let's see where we are at Christmas.

He will. It is not very difficult to work out. Look at what he achieved at Sevilla where he could only afford to buy rejects and unknowns. Now with Spurs budget he will be able to buy better players and tactically he is one of the best.

We beat Chelsea in the league last season and released a DVD. That was embarrassing I hope we don't do that again. If we had lost today Legend wouldn't even be mentioned. There is a long long long way to go yet and better teams than wigan to play.

Here's a stat for you, if we had lost those 4 games, we'd still be bottom 3 and half way out of the UEFA - not an unlikely position if we stuck with Jol.

And if/when Didier Zokora finally scores, I expect nothing less than a commemorative stationery set.

so far so very very good - he took us over at a very dark time and already light is flooding in - yes the Hammers will be toughest game yet - but boy we're in good shape going into the game :)

 I'm sure the "I saw Zokora score" T-Shirts are gathering dust in a warehouse somewhere next to the "I saw Freund score" and the "I read a sane thread on SC in the immediate aftermath of a Spurs game" ones.

A great set of fixtures for Ramos to start his new job against.

If he's as good as BMJ was i'll be happy. If he's better then i'll be over the moon.

Spot on.

The reason we Spurs fans get the piss taken out of us is that after so many false dawn there's still a section of the fan base who hail any new manager who manages to generate a win a few games after taking over as the new messiah. What idiocy. Of course, they were also the same ones to jump on the "Jol out" band wagon first.....

FFS... His name is Juan de la Cruz Ramos Cano. He shouldn't be called Juande. It's like calling Vicente del Bosque Vicentedel
