Jesus. Kendall has been getting a hard time on here the last day or two!!!!

And top thread resurrecting. Its funny reading back on people excitement for Ramos at the time. Despite the now infamous start to his second season surely it was still better than the tedious bilge served up by AVB.
It didn't seem good at the time!

An observation from looking back at the early part of this thread is how much as fans we tend to overreact to one or two good results and suddenly the new manager is the one, the man who is going to take us back to where we belong, put the Hotspur back into Tottenham etc. I don't remember hearing too much dissension when he was sacked.

Tactically he has a great mind. What we all know now is that it is only one of the traits a manager needs, and to be fair, it might be the least as proven by his predecessor.

Did you know that when he replaced Wendy, we had only like 2 points or something after nearly 8 games? Seriously, I was playing the Tottenham Hotspur category on QuizUp and some brilliant smartass put that question in there. Awesome

I just remember the craziness of it all. Gomes punching Corluka unconscious, Bale being sent off, etc

So far so good, and the board getting in Ramos (leaving aside the manner of it) looks like a good move. If we win our next two I'll be moving that to 'looking very good:)
Wahey... I think this may be DC Boy's only post where he isn't proclaiming Jenas to be the second coming.

If he's Still a member he won't see this as I was on his ignore list...

Nothing ever is unless we're winning with style. We demand a lot as fans ... its part of why we are always so manic. Up one day & down the next.

Its doing my heart no favours :sour:

I know. The beginning of the thread sums it up really. A lot of fans were really excited when we got this shiny brand new European coach with a bit of pedigree but the optimism quite quickly diminished at the beginning of the following season. I can see it going that way with Pochettino if people don't give him time to get things right.

I was one of those fans. I thought he would bring us glory!

Many of us where even despite the uncomfortable way in which the club seemed to pursue him and then the way in which MJ found out he was sacked.
