I was Anderton at Wimbledon tennis last year, was reasonably polite and took a pic with me.

No word of a lie, I read your post and he walked up the escalators. He's now stood in front of me holding his groin
He is probably getting ready to do a runner... messaging the police just incase because someone's been following him for the last 2 hours

Saw Gary Doherty in Punch and Judy bar in Covent Garden a few months ago. I nodded and smiled, he did the same back. Seemed a really nice bloke, with his family, felt bad at all the stick I gave him back in the day.

This is a bit off subject, but a few years ago, In Nevada Smiths, a very popular football pub in NYC, I saw Jens Lehmans. In this place, the Arsenal game was being shown downstairs and it was dark and packed to the walls with goons.

I saw him on line as he was coming in with his son, and when I went downstairs later, I was amazed that 30 minutes or so into the game he was sitting there completely unnoticed and unmolested by all of the goons in there. I wasn't having it.

I asked my friend near me who was stinking drunk from the night before, "do you think Lehmann was a good keeper for you lot? I mean, did you like him?"

"I fvc#ing fvc#ing love Lehmann, mate", came his spitty, drunk as fv#@ response. He was ready.

"Are you sure?" I asked. "If you goons love him so much, how come he's in here and not one of you lot have even thanked him for his service to your club? You lot aren't real fans".

"What!"

"There he is with his son, you muppet!"

"Where!"

I stand up and point, "RIGHT THERE!"

I don't think Lehmann ever returned to that place because he was heavily mobbed, first by my drunk mate, who greated him like a long lost lover. ... properly cringeworthy

I drank my beer. I watched. I was filled with joy as everything unfolded, Lehmann once or twice losing it and coming close to being the nasty cvxt he can be.

Not Spurs, but Damien Duff used to live around the corner from me. In my old job he came in and bought a few bits one day when he was back home during the off season. I served him. Called him a Chelsea rent boy under my breath. He never came back in after that.

Actually, his brother was a massive dick. Used to always come out to play football in, and I shit you not, a full kit of whatever club Duff was playing for at the time. Socks and everything.

Also saw Shay Given on Grafton Street with his daughter, poor chap was mobbed and all he wanted to do was go shopping with his child. Everybody was stopping him for photos and his daughter was being shoved to the side. Felt very sorry for the two of them.

Still have that photo with him somewhere.

Last month I passed Ricky Villa and his wife in the Water Gardens shopping centre in Harlow. Being of that generation I just gave him the thumbs up and shouted Rickayy! He just gave me a meek wave and that was that. I don't think he wanted the attention, particularly the shouting.

I had my brothers Spurs birthday card in my bag and I didn't have the mind to get Ricky to sign it. My bro would have absolutely loved that. Yes, I'm a twat but a star struck twat.

I work for the tv station that has the Premier League rights in Norway, so I've met more than a few of our old boys who have been in the studio. Erik Thorstvedt is one of the regulars panelists, Steffen Iversen's been in a fair few times as well. Gazza, Anderton and Ossie have all visited us, and we're in contact with both Ledley and 'Arry about coming to the studio at some point.

Off topic but Sam Allardyce is as much a dick in real life as he comes across as manager. Said on the record that he wouldn't ever consider taking the Sunderland job, then signed for them a month later. Plus he managed to infect the whole crew that worked the weekend he was in the studio with some kind of flu virus. ****.
