I wouldn't mind if we went for Depay he has really sorted himself out at Lyon. Left footed and a goal scoring player

Fee of about €22 million agreed, apparently. He is to chose between us and Roma according to sources on the Twitter!!
Meh, let him go to Roma. Same discussion going on in the Grealish thread. This kid wouldn't break into the attacking midfielder group with the way things stand.

I do get the feeling that we’ll make more of these sorts of signings, Grealish included, with our £150 million war chest then the likes of Martial or Sessegnon. People will probably be disappointed even though we’ll probably spend quite significantly.

I thought Kluivert was one of the back ups if we didn’t get any of our primary targets. He’s a decent player but not a match winner which is what we need.

Strange going to Roma given the amount of attacking players they have. The likes of Schick barely get a look in as it is.

Just frustrating because we've seen so many times in the past trying to get cute on signings and find hidden gems and then end up wasting money on them the first go round when we could have just spent that money at once and get the right player in. Nkoudou, Njie and Lucas is the perfect example. We spent 2 years trying to find a fast winger, we went cute for 2 straight windows before finally getting an established player at a reasonable fee. Same with striker, we've spent what 30million on strikers in back to back windows and both have been failures. Go spend 30mil on a real striker and get it right to start.

I just cant see Yanited selling Martial to us, and I’m not sure who our other attacking targets are, so I cant comment.
It is underwhelming though, but sometimes those signings work out for the best?

TBF Lucas will probably hit peak Spurs this season. No one is a true contender until they've had a Poch preseason.

Yeah, I'm saying we got it right with Lucas cause we finally went out and bought a player with a much higher calibre than the other two.
