how do you know that? Kluivert just turned 19 and Moura is 25. I live 30 miles west of you in Fort Worth and cant get Eredivisie games on the TV.
I'm saying we finally got it right by spending a decent chunk of change on Lucas vs being cheap and getting Njie and Nkoudou.

That's A), and B) is that at some point we need to develop a core group of players that's good enough that we can risk tossing in a few rookies from our own academy. Pochettino has so far only officially promoted and fully integrated one academy player into the senior squad. When we keep buying N'Twats and Sissokos, those transfers only stand in the way of taking the risk with an academy kid.

An excellent point, we really need find a way to get more opportunities for our academy players. Personally, I hope some of the young players/academy players (CCV, Onomah, Austin, Sterling, etc) get some opportunities this summer on the preseason tour. Additionally, it would be great to see another academy player break through sooner rather than later (I really though Bennetts had a shot in the next season or so, but totally understand the decision to go to the Bundesliga). We have some talented players in the academy (Parrott, Lyons-Foster, Skipp) that will hopefully be ready to break through in a few years.

Exactly, no more of the bargain buys, hopefully we are getting exactly what Poch wants, even if it costs us a little more. I know several are growing impatient at the lack of transfers, but I am hopeful that Levy is backing Poch in the market and things are just taking a little longer than expected.

Been photographed holding a Roma scarf. Signed for €18 mil. Peanuts in today’s market for such a young promising player.

Moura was signed for €45m at a simillar age. Promise is a fickle thing. I think we are good.

I repeat again, if we wanted to go ahead he was ours, and round of been holding our shirt. We were not convinced and declined.

Herc telling us all we need to know. He looks a talent but we signed Lucas back in January and I personally think he's looked excellent when he's played so far. He's gonna have a full pre-season, be more acclimated to the UK and be bang on it to start next season. Can't wait to see what he's gonna do for us.

Roma love making these kind of signings, as they did with Under last summer. It's a good place for him to go. Will defo keep an eye on his progress but IMO he's not what we need right now.

Good luck to the lad. Sounds like Poch wasn't convinced from what Herc's said and that's enough for me. I'm really hopeful with Moura as many others seem to be, so hoping he can continue to improve and show what he can do with a full pre-season etc.

Roll on a proper CM, that's got to be top of most of our wish lists!

Having a preseason to not only fit Lucas into our system but also to help our system accommodate him will be massive for him. I can see him being really deadly on the counter attack when we play how we did against Dortmund at home.
