Had a quick scroll through to see how Janssen performed - little mention other than the odd entry here and there.

Anyone else watch it and see how he performed?

I saw bits after the Spurs goal and noticed Wanyama to basically play the way we expect him to - like Hulk.

I only saw the first 15 minutes or so. I thought they were going to slaughter us to be fair. We obviously improved a bit then. Not that the result really matters of course!

2nd half was much better but obviously too late.
It's pre season and I guess now is the time for trial and error, rather than when the PL starts

Watched it all.....first 15 mins shocking as our defence made error after error.
However with that back 4 im not surprised.
Janssen didn't get any service so he was quiet....so couldn't really judge him in anyway.

2nd half different story...made some changes and we pressed alot more and our passing was better and looked the better team.
If honest with the chances we had we should have took it pens.
Lamela made a huge difference but also liked winks and onomah both looked comfortable on the ball and looked to go forward.
Edwards show some nice touches and runs....would like to see more of him.
Wanyama did a decent job nothing special but broke down play and pressed well...down to him pressing we got the goal.

Overall minus the first 30 mins or so we played ok and held our own.
Can see poch's style is played at all levels in our club....eg you seen the CBs split wide and Wanyama dropped inbetween them to play the ball out from there or when defending almost a back 3...no difference from when it's Toby and verts with Dier dropping in.

I know first proper friendly but thought the likes of Edwards onomah and winks looked better than chadli Mason carroll.
Can see some of the younger ones pushing for places on the bench this season.

First 15 mins were poor as they pressed us into mistakes trying to play out from the back. Janssen had absolutely no service, but he looks slower than Kane (at this stage). Can't really pick anybody out from the first half in a positive way, but imo Chadli was terrible throughout, zero contribution. Second half much better and at the back CCV seemed to steady himself. I thought Winks made a very positive contribution to our improvement. First viewing of Marcus Edwards, he is so small but built like a little pocket battleship. He is tricky but difficult to judge his pace as no space to run into against Juventus. Most of younger players did ok but I thought Ball has a torrid time , especially first half. Son contributed very little.

Ball was playing in the Scottish championship last year, so no wonder he struggled. I don't know exactly what level that is, but I imagine it's pretty low.

A warm up game with plenty of debuts from us. Edwards looked promising. It's a shame the back four showed nerves and lack of coordination for the goals. Inexperience really but we did improve and I thought a draw was on the cards.COYS

I watched the whole game. I felt Jansen didn't get the service he needed, but also failed to drop back and create his own opportunities. Victor (IMO) didn't cover the back four in the same way that dier does. Chadli and son were invisible. Onomah and lamela looked good when they came on and again IMO, carter-vickers looked better than ball. Edwards looks class!

I watched the whole game. The players who did really well were:
Winks: Came on in the second half and showed why Bentaleb is back in the UK and Carroll and Mason are available for sale. He needs and deserves game time - calm, polished and energetic.
Carter-Vickers: Had a poor first 15 minutes but did not let this destroy him and played with growing confidence with good positioning, well-timed interventions and skill on the ball. Hard to believe he is only 18.
Onomah: Dynamic, running with the ball and making smart passes.
Edwards: Very skillful. Played at 10 but might be better wide.

I won't comment on the muppets of whom there were several especially in the first half.

I also thought Harrison was pretty sharp on the ball and unlucky not to score.

We looked so much better with Onomah, Winks, Edwards and Harrison than the senior layers we started with, although Coco made a huge difference, so much class.

I also wouldn't be too hard on Ball and CCV, they looked nervous at the start and fucked up for the first goal but they settled in OK, and Ball played DM for Rangers last year so he was obviously being looked at at the back, thats what these games are for.

Janssen hardly got a kick, not his fault we weren't good in the first half and only got into the game after both teams had made a load of substitutes. Young team, the defenders couldn't cope with Juventus strikers. I think they took their foot off the gas at 2 nil. When they were two up so quickly and we had no defenders who had played a real game before. I feared we'd get hammered. We improved though, some of the kids did OK Winks was good so was Harrison. No injuries as a pre season work out I think it's fine.

Very encouraged by the youngsters performance in the second half.
The supply line is still running.
Winks looks ready, but Lamela a class above.
Miller played well out of position.
Juventus certainly took their foot off at 2-0 after our early defensive errors
but we played better , quicker and more direct in the second half
and should have equalised.
Vorm had nothing to do in the second half
their keeper made 2/3 good saves.
Edwards clearly talented but beware the hype.
He's not Deli Alli yet.
Hope the youngsters play on Friday, shamed the senior pros (Chadli, Son)
Looking forward to Friday.
