Sure they’ve got a couple of key players returning but hopefully we’ll have a fully fit Wanyama and Toby to pick from, along with Trips, Son and Lucas to give us different options

I'd have taken a 2-1 defeat all night long .... Well at least until the equaliser went in.

Happy Birthday Christian E.

More like five to come back, I think. The return leg looks set to be an absolute belter.

There was a moment when the home crowd booed a hoofed mindless clearance from Juve and I knew we were on to something. I think the home leg will be even tougher but we wanted to play with the big boys didn't we! :)

I reckon playing the goons, Liverpool and man utd right before this game helped us. We picked up so much momentum over those games, such belief and team spirit that after we went 2 down we believed we could pull it back. If we had played say Brighton, Huddersfield etc, where the tempo is low, 11 behind the ball and all that, I don't reckon we would have done it.

Still buzzing now, hope Liverpool get gubbed too. From a dodgy pen.

As happy as I am about last night, I've got a tinge of frustration as we should've won that game, possibly by two.

Should be fine if we play to our potential but just hope we don't come to regret it.

After being 2 down theres no way we should be regretting it.

But we were so good we deserve more then that.
Nah, not having that. We played really well and certainly deserved the score draw, but they could and should have put the game to bed with the second penalty, and even aside from that they had at least as many clear cut chances as we did despite us dominating the possession. Draw was the 'right' result for me on the balance of the game, and it leaves us in a great position for the second leg, but let's not pretend like we couldn't just have easily lost that game by a couple as we could have won it.

Plus even though we did get an equaliser, in the second half they defended so much better than in the first half. We hardly troubled them despite having lots of the ball in the second half.

The second leg is going to be so intriguing.

Great result after that start but it's over now let's concentrate on next match on Sunday and eventually the return match at Wembley.
Going on about how we're treated in press doesn't matter - we do the business and they will have to truly acknowledge what we have done and how we got there.
In the meantime there are several on here who need to look at themselves and re-read some of the comments in the first half of the game. They certainly cannot chastise others after what they wrote.
As a team/club we continue to develop as the players grow older and gain more experience. The manager too is still learning. The future continues to be bright and we need to make the most of this and the next two seasons if we are to achieve what we want.

One other thing from last night, how awesome was it that the three subs we were able to bring on were:

Son - arguably our most improved player and a real key man now.

Moura - £25m Brazilian international.

Wanyama - key player last season.

Add to that we had Rose and Tripps as unused subs, Toby and Winks weren’t in the same country as the rest of the squad!

Things are looking good!

I reckon we need to play 343 for the return leg and use crosses into the box to cause havoc and pen their fullbacks back. Toby and Wanyama back in this side will be enough to limit their returning players:
Lloris
Toby Sanchez Verts
Trippier Wanyama Dembele Davies
Eriksen Kane Son
Bench: Gazzaniga Rose Dier Alli Lucas Lamela Llorente

Why change anything? We've been on fire with our 4-2-3-1. Keep things as they are.
