Steven Gerrard has just stated - 'the big test is to see whether they can do in now against Palace and Huddersfield'

Literally every other week we play a Utd, Dortmund, Juve, Madrid off the park, and literally every other week Rio Ferdinand states that THIS is the game that proves we can handle the big games.

Couple of proper perineums.

People are going to do that though. Some fans are more emotional about it than others and being 2-0 within ten minutes away at Juventus was looking onimous.

There’s a difference between being angry at individual or team errors and calling that group legends and writing us off after 7 minutes.

The bottle jobs are the usual suspects who slag off the team at the first sign of adversity when they have done more than enough to deserve more respect and support from us.

How people can criticise Alli and Lamela is beyond me. Lamela was like a terrier leading the press and Ali caused problems for them leading to our goals.

We had 10 diabolical minutes at the start and a shocking brainfart by Aurier, but the rest of the match we were the better side. Away at Juventus.

That is something to be proud of. And if we can finish off the tie and progress at Wembley than all the fuckery is forgiven.

As good as the performance was for 80 minutes, we really need to cut out these sloppy and laboured starts in games. Happens more often than not.

Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino on BT Sport: “Fantastic game. We were sloppy and conceded two goals in nine minutes, but the character we showed was fantastic. I want to congratulate the players - 2-0 down in Turin to a team so difficult to break down. We deserved a victory more than a draw.

“We are more mature now. In the last few weeks, the team are growing and have stepped up. It’s a good example of the capacity we have.

The team was amazing in how they reacted.

“You need some luck always in football. The tie is open, Juventus are a massive team. We have the hope we can win in Wembley.”

I think Lineker's open support of Leicester during the title season led to him getting a lot of abuse from Spurs "fans" on Twitter, which has probably put him off us significantly.

He still favours Spurs over all other teams bar Leicester, you only have to watch MotD to see how much he promotes Spurs and enjoys watching us beat the other big clubs.

Yeah, I think we can say that we have passed the 'serious' tests now.

I'm not excusing Aurier but Costa is a very good player indeed, I really thought Juve would spend all of the second half trying to get him the ball to have another go. Not sure if they didn't or couldn't due to the quality of the play.

We love a scapegoat and I'm not saying Aurier did a good thing but perhaps a little bit of slack required?

That didn't stop literally thousands of cockwombles from hurling abuse at him on Twitter for not showing Spurs enough respect.

I completely understood why he went a tad overboard with the Leicester thing.

I celebrated news of Aurier missing the second leg.

Does that make me a bad person?
If Douglas Costa rips us apart and wins the tie for them, after being pretty much anonymous for most of the night tonight, yes. It makes you the worst person ever :D

The Moose - Jeepers ! Majestic.

What a night, lost my voice and I'm on my own !

One of my favourite 'off pitch' memories was when Eriksen scored from the FK - there was a shot of one of the Ultras
with his back to the pitch on a stanchion and orchestrating his choir but turned to see the ball hit the back of the net.

LOL
