Because what we currently have, is a £5m player neither here nor there, but we paid considerably more.

Do direct us towards these young £5m players who can rabona a shot into the top corner.

Difference between Lamela and the likes of Eriksen and Chadli is that Erik hasn't been too afraid to get stuck in and develop the physical side of his game, rather than relying on free-kicks and hovering in the box to make it look like he's worth his place.

Honestly, you never know with the kind of players like Lamela; he could set the PL on fire the upcoming season; he can just silently disappear - never to fulfill his potential; he could be sold to antoher club and really flourish there - or not.

Personally I´ve got this sneaking feeling that he could become world class - IF playing with smarter and better players than what we have in our squad at the moment. He might´ve formed a brilliant partnership with a Modric, or playing behind someone like Costa or Agüero - he could´ve become our Silva. But to be honest: I´m afraid he´ll never be a star for us. Kind of sad, really.

One freak (great) goal in two years, whilst the other two have scored about 35 between them, a number of which won games for us.

But yeah. Rabona.

I agree with the sentiment but you are massively doing down Chadli and Eriksen's contribution there. Eriksen actually had really good tackle stats at one point last season (not sure where they finished).

Lamela has still been inconsistent the challenge is making him more effective this year and eradicating silly mistakes.

1 goal in 2 years eh, your maths need some work.
Injured for pretty much of his first season.
Go back and watch our goals from last season and see how many Lamela was involved in.

Ok, let me rephrase that.
One goal of note.

He got a few. He was involved in a few.
The same can be said of andros townsend.
Heck, Paulinho has been no worse and some people are chomping at the bit for us to sell him.

We've a certain Brazilian whos an International whos fkin dog shit so that point is neither here nor there is it lol.
To say he's been anything other than a waste of money is bollocks.
Can anyone, hand on heart, say they think he'll EVER be worth what we paid for him?
And ffs I KNOW he personally had nothing to do with the fee for christs sake, I'm saying what is the most you think he'll ever be worth?
Best case scenario I see about 18m and I very much doubt he'll manage to pull that.
I do wonder if some people, not referring to your good self Doom, actually watch Spurs play or just see goal highlights. Bringing up that Rabona against a fkin pub team as a reason to not sell???
On that basis lets sign Charlie Adams, very good goal from his own half, and keep Pauline as he plays (played) for Brazil.
No? Thought not.
I do think he'll stay.
I also think he'll be better than he has been (wow).
Whether that will be good enough for him to even keep himself in the starting 11 remains to be seen. Depends who we get in/out.

And the one versus Burnley.

But don't let me distract you on your journey of hatred of all things spurs.

As for "the other two", the point is that they've scored goals because they've not been defending - Lamela has sacrificed personal statistics to be a more 'Poch' type player than Eriksen or Chadli are.
