I can't imagine Ramos has been too impressed with the lad so far and he looks like he's feeling the pressure.

I've got a feeling he will get the Huddlestone treatment when Rocha comes back.

IMO he has all the attributes to be a very good CB but at the moment that is all potential. Far too casual again yesterday and cost us the goal, great call from Juande to bring him off.

Has shown glimpses of quality - much like Rio when he played at West Ham.

Stam and Vidic made bad starts to their English careers, and they were alerady experienced.

I seem to remember even Ledley made a huge balls up in a final against Blackburn. Young centre halves will make lots of mistakes.

Experience and good coaching will teach him the art of positioning and decision making I would have thought. He will be a ball playing beast of a centre half in time - who scores lots of goals.

Give him some time, that potential will pay off.

Rocha would be a preffered choice, but choices are something we're lacking at present.

I'm agreeing with the points. For £8m though, I'd have expected/wanted better really....you can tell he's 21, whereas I thought he might be punching above hisn weight.

He has looked worse since Ramos appeared though, I'll be happy to see Rocha come back, a bit of experience is needed.

He just needs Ledley to turn him into Ledley II. Without Ledley, Dawson wouldn't be the defender he is (well he's still not without Ledley).

The Spurs back 5 circa 2012. With maybe a bit of Daws thrown in there for experience.

Most of the time he is just hopless. I don't rate the man at all, at least as a CB. There might be a job for him in midfield, possibly DM, but you still need to show some defending mentality for this position. But so far, waste of 8 mil, with the jury still very much out on him.

Kaboul: "Whos that a picture of?"

Dare I ask when Ledley is back?

Now if there's one thing I'd wish to get a definitive answer on it would be that! I don't mean to be totally negative hear, but me and Dad were discussing this the other night, there's all the chance that his career could be over, lets face it. If the worst came to the worst, he'd pop up now and again for a game or two but never be consistent again. If this is the case and the club know this, then should really tell us instead of keeping up hopes.

Bags of potential, has all the ingredients to make a top defender. Apart from the worrying brain freeze every now and then. Unfortunately this is very difficult to teach out of players. To cap it off we have 3 other defenders who all have concentration lapses regularly. Dawson, Chimbo, Gardener. We haven't managed to train it out of those lot yet.

Could do with a wise head next to him. Can't see him getting many games when King is back.

The one I have really high hopes for is ol Dorian.

I love the guy. He'll come good.

He hasn't exactly been in the fold for very long.

He's scored 3 goals, he's averaging the same sort of rating as Dawson, I think people are being a little harsh on him.

Sure he's young, maybe a bit cocky on the ball too but he'll learn.

If not Ramos will beat it out of him

I don't care that he's scored 3 goals - he's cost us at least treble that.

It's an unfortunate pairing Dawson and Kaboul as they are both replacements for each other as it were (i.e. King + 1 of them). They're too similar and we're shipping goals like nobody's business.

I really haven't been that impressed by him - not for the money shelled out anyway.

Yes I know he's young but he has played at least 3 seasons of French football before coming here and does captain his U21 side.

He does a lot of things well - but some very basic things shockingly badly. I'm all for giving him time of course - but some posters are going over the top here with the 'love'.
